With the need for a fifth-generation fighter to replace the forth-generation F-302, BAE was tasked with the creation of the F-303. The F-303 was based off the JAS SPARV and the PAK FA. It has a 25 GAU 6 barreled minigun, 8 hard points, and ordnance bay for 2 JDAMs or 4 missiles. The fighter uses some of the best radar and jamming systems to lock on to enemies beyond visual range and to prevent lock ons to itself. Finally the fighter has thrust vectoring so that it is capable of conducting superior turns and maneuvers (i.e. Pugachev's Cobra) in close range dogfights. The fighter was created with some assistance from SAAB.
