White Lightning
A simple closed-wheel racer with a simple curved body.
About this creation
Built: 2011

Status: Dismantled

This car was based around the big half arch pieces I found while doing a (well overdue) sort of my LEGO.

I wanted to keep it really simple, so I used the smaller half arch pieces to finish the front, as to keep with the theme :)

I really wanted the spoiler to not be attached to the body and be just an extension of the arches, but I couldn't work out a way of doing that :(

Looking straight down the front is one of my favourite views.

I really like the side profile lines as well. But that little sliver of black infront of the rear guards is really annoying.

Exposed rear, I couldn't fit in an engine, but I did put in exhaust pipes and a little brake light (the only non white or black parts in the MOC).

The spoiler can easily be taken off. To work on the engine or something I guess?

Last shot :)

I hope you all like it.

Quoting MortalSwordsman . It reminds me of a mordern version of an old fashioned car - hope that makes sense!? I think the black 'sliver' looks good because it continues the stepped design on the side. Great job. I might try a 5 wide soon.
Thankyou MortalSwordsman! I really appreciate all your great comments :) Yes, that does make sense, that was part of the inspiration behind the design. Sorry, I didn't really explain it very well, but what I meant by the 'sliver' is the tiny little gap between the two white sections of the side, where you can see a bit of black in the layer behind. You deffinately should have a go at 5-wides. I found it a bit tricky getting used to the dimensions at first, but after I had made a couple of cars, I was hooked! :D

This is super cool I love it. I have never seen these arches used in this way - excellent. It reminds me of a mordern version of an old fashioned car - hope that makes sense!?
