An ordinairy ship ? a rather large brig type of ship ?
well, that's just how it looks,
like most things there is more than meets the eye, a hidden power within,
I knew it wasn't going to work out trying to explain everything so I made this video.

So as you could see this ship features light in the cabin, controllable chaser guns, a working capstan and an anchor.
And best of all is that you can hardly see any of the mechanics enableing these features.
Perhaps you are interested in some earlier pictures of the building process ?
This is a view of the ship before I layed in the lower deck, looks a bit more complicated now hey ?
This wouldn't have been possible with the new prefab hull pieces since they don't have the practical stern holes, as you can see I used those holes as access points to a pneumatic pump, which operates the chaser cannons and a long flexible axle which serves to haul up the anchor.
Then there's the battery box, supplying energy for the light in the cabin and next to it the capstan mechanism. The grey wheel makes sure the rope doesn't get stuck somewhere else. Interesting fact, the axle of that grey wheel goes through an axle hole in the prefab hull. I don't really know why those holes were there in the first place, perhaps to attach masts.
Through the middle of the ships runs a rope, the flexible axle and a pneumatic hose. That hose is connected to a 2/3 valve which shifts between retracting and extracting the pneumatic cilinders
Those pneumatic cilinders are used to open and close the chaser cannons (the cannons themselves haven't been attached yet on this picture)
When I checked everything was working I covered it all up,
there, no sign of mechanics :)
amazing seberus you have out done your self this time all i can say is amazing now all you need to doo is build that front part in the the flying dutchmen oh and seberus could you check out my new moc page i have a little thing going that i would like some of the bigger mocpagers to see and your the only one of the big guys here that i know

Haha, thanks. I have a good eye. I will be posting a few of my creations soon. I'm starting with micro-scales and scale models. I've never really created anything myself from scattered bits and pieces, but I do have a few ideas in my head :) I really do like this ship, although I don't really agree with the color. Perhaps black, blue, and red?
Thank you, I'm looking forward to see your creations. I don't often combine blue and red but it might have been better to pick a different color for the cannon hatches here, like red.
Again, you make Pirate Ships look amazing! Such work and dedication: I wouldn't have been able to put all that machines to work and the ship is very impressive. You should show it to the LEGO corp. so that they make a similar one because I believe it is very playful. Nice work indeed... as always!
I like it

Fantastic work, the ship itself is already beautiful but the fact that there are working functions and lights make it even better!

This eliminates the need for all the annoying sailors, who needs grog and makes mutinies and such :) Must have been lots of fun to come up with all of this.
This is a complex piece of work, Dude! Reminds me of the technic space shuttle from the mid 90's with all the stuff running through it. Excellent build!

It truly is "more than meets the eye", but when I read that, I expected a transformer.
haha, imagine a transformer from a ship....
no really, that's actually not such bad Idea, atleast it woudl surely be a unique creation :P
I think you've set something in motion :)

I noticed the idol on this ship is the same as your Saphran Dragon. How long did it take to make this ship?
So you noticed :p
Well it's difficult to say how long it took, a lot of the building proces was in my head, but I think I could have been spending a whole day to make the base which holds most of the technical features.

EPIC! this is the coolest ship ever. the mechanics are awesome, I wish I had some of those pump-like pieces. I love the glowing stained glass windows in the back. Is that your sig fig on the deck above the captains cabin? anyway, Amazing model!
Yep that's my sigfiggy, with a different hat though :p

Clever systems and of course, nice boat. I particularly appreciate the dragonheads, going up, revealing the canons. The electric system for lithing must be quite old, since I remember having the same electric parts myself!
I also had these technic pneumatics systems too! Make me regretting a lot to have given all my old legos! Thanks for reminding me of my vintage lego I had in my childhood! Very nice, AFOL fellow! =)
I've never said goodbye to any of my lego bricks I have, apart from a canoe that got stolen long ago:'(

This makes me insanely happy in every way conceivable.....you are so overwhelmingly awesome at building these now, and every little detail in this ship just sells it utterly, even the lights are pure icing, they look just like candles!
This is a pleasing model in every way. It takes a good amount of engineering ability to piece this all together so well, have it work, and still make the ship look beautiful.
this is the most brilliant "action buttons" and mechanism's i ever seen, brilliant, you must had thought alot about how to create this brilliant system, but, if you create a playable ship, together with those mecanism's, then you will have a pretty hard time covering them up. but great job, exelent, this just proves, the fact, you can never judge a book on its cover,
