Big Jessie. So powerful, she will make a grown man cry (hence the name). Built from scratch, Big Jessie has one goal - to top 150mph at Pendine Sands under the guidance of her brave driver, Sir Stanley Pennington-Flash.
About this creation
Big Jessie's "sledgehammer to crack a nut" profile. She'll punch through the Welsh sea air to make Sir Stanley the fastest, some say most foolhardy, man alive.
Front aero detail.
Big radiator. I would have like to have used the Minifigure trophy on here, but rules is rules. The innovative induction system "injects" fuel into each of the eight cylinders.
Opening doors! Does nothing for structural rigidity.
Even in the early 1920's, Sir Stanley was experimenting with diffusers and streamlined exhausts to keep the big crossply tyres biting into the sands.
Thanks for the comments. This was the second attempt at Big Jessie. My first was another two studs wide and the engine was too tall. This second attempt worked out just about right.
I love this, even more so because its an alternative. The engine and rediator are excellent. The micro fig hood ornament would be perfect shame it's not in the set. I have used it a few times for that exact purpose. I also like to make set alternatives but I don't have this set. Great job all around.
