Spare Time (And Parts)
So while Mocpages has been down lately, I've been messing around with some greebly parts, just seeing what I could make. Now that things are mostly back to normal, I thought I'd post what I built just for the heck of it.
About this creation
I know a lot of you are probably thinking "he should be working on No Refuge II, not this stuff!" Well, I am. It's just been pretty slow lately due to the fact that I use the mocpages image uploader to get the HTML code for each picture, then add the dialogue and narration, then copy everything into a word document, ready to be pasted into the image uploader when I'm ready to premiere everything. So don't worry, I am still working on it. I just felt like making some small models in the meantime.

Like these guys. Some sort of alien race inspired from Saber Scorpions build for the Elites from Halo. I give him credit for the design of most of the body. I changed the design of the arms however.

An assassin class.

Regular infantry.

Commander.

Royal Guard.

I've also built some other small things, like this alien head I was experimenting with.

And these fuel cell things.

A power generator of some sort.

And a neat little bomb.

Hope you liked it! No Refuge II is still in progress, but it's coming. Don't worry.

That is a neat bomb... I may need to play around with that design.

I don't think I've ever seen that 'leg' technique before! Great!

Quoting Master Emerald Phoenix Hey, I think you're arm change actually works better than Scorp's! have you also seen MondayN0odle's...
Sweet! Long thought out comments! Love it :P I have seen that style of legs, but I was going for mass production (sorta) with these guys. As for the looks of the aliens, they dont have any weapons right now (except a backup weapon for the commander) and I used grey because thats the color I have a good amount of all the pieces needed in. I appreciate the constructive criticism and ideas though. Thanks :)

Hey, I think you're arm change actually works better than Scorp's! have you also seen MondayN0odle's (Flickr, did dawn forge) version of the elite with pistols taking the thigh piece instead of the large megaphones? I think you'll find that more to your liking. The Royal guard is cool, but I was expecting a little more, well, regal-ness about him. maybe a flag and a sword? Or a long pike? For the commander, try adding a plume on top of his head, or a flag on his back and see if you like that. The small side arm seems to trivial for the character in my humble opinion. I do like the assassin class, though I would have put the horns the other way (sticking out of the elbow) and then attached a 1x1 round brick to the front to hold a grey katana extending out past the hands. I'd also give him/her bladed feet. :P The bomb is wicked, and I might just have to "steal" it for a future sci-fi MOC I want to do -- credit will of course be given. I like the fuel rods, though I think I've seen that concept somewhere else as well... the generator is just too rad to word... Great idea for the drills (I'm forgetting their actual name right now). Overall, great job, but I'd love to see your aliens in more colors than grey. :) MEP
