About this creation

Yaddle was a Jedi Master and member of the Council in the years before th Clone Wars. A member of Yoda's species Yaddle's was thoughtful and quiet. She trained many Jedi in her life including Master Oppo Rancisis.
Yaddle's last mission took her to Mawan with Obi-Wn and Anakin. When a bioweapon was released upon the planet Yaddle used the Force to draw the toxins into her body, resulting in her almost instant death.
Yaddle was the last member of the Council to die before the outbreak of the war and her position on the Council was filled by Master Shaak Ti.

Yaddle's definitely a woman, it says so on Wookieepedia :)
