About this creation

I originally tried to build this for a BBCC over at BZPower some time ago. It never got very far, because I had just finished sorting my Lego collection the day the contest ended. This contest was just the inspiration I needed to finally build it.

I'm really proud of this MOC. The upper body in particular gave me trouble, but I like how it turned out.

My opponent, Phosphorus, couldn't enter the contest. It's a real pity, I was looking forward to getting defeated by such a cool MOCer. Oh well.

Lastly, an experiment with image editing using GIMP. Meh.

Please rate and comment! I'd really like this to be my most popular creation, I think it deserves it. Well, at least untill I get Zamarslide 2.0 photographed and posted. I have a feeling you all will like it!

It would be SWEET if you added some of the different features the 2001 rahi had! like the extending limbs!for its claws. Still this MOC IS EPIC.

Those eyes are epic! I love everything about it, the only problem is that it can't stand on it's own. However, I think it was smart not to try and make it stable and just go for looks. Cause it looks AMAZING!

Truly magnificent. The shape is great, really nailed it. My only suggestion is to make the thorax a little longer, it seems disproportionately small. Otherwise, it's amazing. 5/5!

This is pretty good, I must say. That head is literally mindblowing, how many techniques you used, it's almost a complete replica of the real head. My only complaint is that some of the proportions (to a real mantis) are a bit off, like the legs being too thin to support such a massive body and head. Good luck, and great job!
