This ship has been modeled after a Sith fighter in the CRPG Knights of the Old Republic by Bioware and LucasArts.
About this creation
LEGOŽ MOC - KotOR Sith Fighter by Oliver Quick
This is my first LEGOŽ creation since I was a kid (about 15 years ago). I stumbled across some of my old LEGOŽ sets recently and toyed around with them. After seeing some of the amazing creations build by some people and learning about the
existence of CAD programs for LEGOŽ I just had to play around with them.
I recently played the great CRPG Knights of the Old Republic (short: KotOR) created by Bioware and LucasArts
and was inspired to create one of the enemy spacecraft using LDraw and MLCad. I think the result looks a bit crude but I'll leave the final judgment to you.
You can download building instructions, LDraw files and images for this model packed in a 2,12 MByte zip file.
Please note: I created this model with virtual bricks only
as I lack the ressources to actually build it in reality. It may be possible that some parts of the ship don't work exactly as I had planned them; i.e. the main wings may be a bit fragile or the two tubes connecting the cockpit and the wings may be too short/long in reality. If you decide to build this model I'd be very grateful about some nice pictures and any suggestions on how to improve the design. My thanks in advance.
I used POV-Ray for Windows to generate the CGIs. I've also included some pictures from the game itself as well as some CGI for comparison.
If you wish to contact me (to tell me how great/bad this model is or to send me some pictures of it assembled in real life) you can e-mail to O.Quick@gmx.de
Model build time: approx. 40 hours (hey, I had to learn how to use all the progs! ;-)), V1.00 finished on Feb 01, 2004
