Extensive surveillance over a 2 week period shows the 4 individuals located in Berlin apartment complex 362 have accumulated military grade weapons, munitions, and explosives for use in their planned attack on the Berlin Underground. Individuals are considered armed and highly dangerous. You have been authorized to use lethal force. That is all. Command, out

A long view of the living space. The window has no curtains or blinds, a fatal oversight for the terror cell. Looking out over an abandoned junk yard, the terrorists think they are safe from surveillance, unaware that a GSG-9 recon team has been steadily spying on them for the past 2 weeks from the interior of a rusted out van.

The tiny bathroom contains a toilet, sink, mirror, and shower laden with ammunition. An AR-15 assault rifle, prepared as a last-stand weapon, lies next to the ammo crate. A spider scurries up the wall, looking for prey.

The terror cell's leader, chugging down some beer and armed with a MAC-10 submachine gun. He's about to get the evening newspaper...not a smart move.
Every “good” terror cell needs a competent bomb maker, and this one is no exception. A retired technical engineer, this terrorist is making IEDs to be placed in the Berlin Underground.
The weapons-runner of the group, this terrorist is calling his superiors to see what types of AK assault rifles are available for use.
The telecommunications expert, planning out the attack. She's an idealistic college student with a background in technology.

Background Info:
I got the entire idea for this creation when I looked through my old City instruction booklets and found alternate stickers for a Police set in German. I thought up an idea where German special police were about to clear an apartment, while the occupants went blissfully about their business. As per my LEGO-building routine, I exhaustively researched the famed GSG-9's history before I started; the fact that I have been to a live-fire SWAT/SOG team exercise helped me out, too. It took me about 2 days of joyful building to make the whole dio; actually, the nastiest part was concentrating on the build while Hurricane Irene whipped up a frenzy outside. I'm very happy with how the creation turned out, although I wish I had had enough gray tiles to replace the black top wall ones. Still, I consider this to be one of my favorite little creations, and I hope you've enjoyed it!

I remember viewing this awhile back before I became a member of moc and started making my own things, this was one of the creations that made me really want to create my own! This is one of my favs, looks very cost and roomy even though it's full of bombs and weapons! |

Paul, this is definitely a departure for you. You really developed a nice sense of chaos within the apartment. Also, who knew you had a hidden talent for bed design? Way to keep me guessing! |

WOW! This is so cool! Great micro work in the apartment and background story. Love the german police. Super sweet bathroom and I love the kitchen. Using the old gray throughout helped to get that 'grungy' feel. 5 stars for sure!! Great job! |
