Volkswagen Polo R WRC Concept (Failed/WIP)
The unfortunate result of one of my many MOC failures.
About this creation
Here's a Volkswagen that I tried to build, but after a while I got tired of building it. I decided to still upload the pictures to MOCpages because the only part that I didn't build was a few small details on the exterior and the interior.

The overall view of the car.

The doors, hood, and hatch open as usual.

The engine. Because it is still a concept, I have no idea what the engine looks like, so I just used my own imagination for it.

Opening the hatch reveals a BIG battery box. It powers the rear wheels (I couldn't make it AWD like the real ones :( ).

A couple pictures of the wheels turning.

This is good, the shape is mostly spot-on, its the colors that make the design look messy and wierd, but its cool! a little more work on it and it would be a 5/5! p.s. i like the wagon wheels as hubcaps, thats pretty creative, i havent seen that done before!

Not bad for a failure indeed. And I don't think anyone can fail with LEGO. Even from creations we consider a failed ones we can learn a ton.

Not bad for a failure, just a little messy but a little more time would clean it up. There's potential here.

You should take another go at it if you're unhappy with it. I think it is pretty cool personally.

Quoting Anthony Dunne Nice build. This is not a failure- you made a really nice model here. Only thing, I would change is the hubs, and the train plates to be replaced, by 4 1x6 tiles. Very nice engine. Nice work! Keep building! -Anthony Dunne
Yeah, but the brown hubs were the only ones I had (they're chariot wheels). Do they make them in different colors?

Nice looking rally car, i like the look of that 4 pot engine and you've used some interesting tecniques. I can see a little bit of Polo in it ;)

I wouldn't say this is much of a failure - unlike a lot of smaller scale models, I could tell what this was straight away without even reading the name. So far, it looks good - maybe you should give it another bash some time and see if you e how you originally wanted to :) - Dan

I agree with you - it is a bit of a failure, it's messy, but with some nice bits in it. Take the good stuff and use it in your next MOC, and learn from the bad : ) 3/5

Nothing wrong with this, the wheels could be changed though :)

Pretty good for a failure!!!! Some very nice features - the engine, the snot around the rear wheels, and the front looks great.
