the bringer of chaos
About this creation
The Arachnoid is a black fantasy creation resembling a spider. It is a biomechanical creature armed with twin firing missles and a light up eye featuring the Mythical Creatures light brick. I'd like to thank the Bricklink store Cincinnati Bricks for their great services.

There are approximately forty thousand classified species of spiders in our world. Unfortunately, Arachnoid 28618 is not one of them. This is the story leading up to the vivisection of number 28618.

It was a humid summer's afternoon, and as the day ends the dying sun splashes its last rays onto the clouds, tainting the sky a blood-red color. The heavy clouds cast a thick shadow over the land and blackens the already dark grains of soil.

The farmer has just finished his day's work and stood up to wipe the perspiration off his head. As he looked up, he notes the stark contrast of the black earth with the sharp red sky.

Just as he dries himself, down came the rain - the wrath of summer's tempest. And with it there was a flood over the hills. It was a flood of black water.

The farmer realized that the flood was headed towards his village, and then the wave disappeared as quickly as it came.

Without delay, the farmer ran back home only to find a swath of devastation. His two-story farmhouse now rise shorter than his crops in the field. And among the ruins there was a fallen black creature, resembling a giant spider.

The government considered it a miracle to have obtained the specimen. As the anatomist picked up the scalpel, he marvelled at the unearthly creation in front of him. He carefully made the first incision, unprepared to discover the horror that lies within...

It looks like it is from an old horror film. By the way, it is an awesome MOC. Keep up the good work. |

You are one of the first to convey feeling of horror through plastic bricks. Though my love for spiders is suddenly diminished, I have found this truly fascinating! |

Those tires around the legs are a brilliant, uhm...thing. I'ld like to explore a little more on that idea( yeah that's the word!) if I may... |

WOW dude! Now, you do not only work on superb black fantasy concepts, but you also come up with very poetic explanations and side-comments on them! Absolutely flawless... |

I have had a picture of this creation sitting on my desktop for some time now, but could not remember who had created this beautiful piece. Now I have managed to find my way back to your site. This is absolutely brilliant. Lee. |

I like this one. It's pretty cool. Overall, I like Andante more though. The Technic rubber missiles are implemented well into the design. Do you have any pictures of the eye lighting up in the dark? |
