M.O. Round 1 - Stove & More
Have you ever gone backpacking? Ever wish that your backpack wasn't quite so heavy? Have we got a THING for you! M.O - Round One, Fire.
About this creation
Category: Fire
This is, to say the least, the weirdest MOC I have ever built. It’s supposed to be “human sized,” as in, it should be the same size as it would in “real life.” This fits into the category of fire because of the stove, or the red thing with fire coming out of it. The rest of the items in the main picture are items that are used in a process beginning with the stove. Here is a link to one of these stoves, or “trail stoves” as I call them: LINK. If you’ve been backpacking before, you’d know that this stove would be a very useful tool. In fact, all of the items I’ve depicted in LEGO would be useful in a backpacking scenario. For those of you who do not know, when you’re backpacking, you want to save as much space as possible. These items are good for that. The MOC includes, a pan, a stove, a cup, a spatula, and a knife, fork, and spoon.

Let’s start off with the stove shall we? This sort of stove would be essential for backpacking, rather than those heavy green camp stoves.

N/A.

N/A

N/A

Fire!

Top.

Biggest thing in the MOC. A pan with eggs.

And, keeping with the idea of space saving, the handle folds onto it. This is basically the bottom half of a mess kit.

And out again

Now, the spoon, fork, and knife, are all connected. They can form together, making it easier to store, and therefore better for backpacking.

Like so.

Now, in the morning, I’m usually pretty thirsty.

Some people want to drink coffee, I prefer water.

Spatula.

And again, it folds back.

The handle is studless.

Pan on top of the stove.

Mmm… Mmm… Good…

Now sit down, and eat!

Looks tasty.

Or, you can use the spatula.

Now doesn’t that make you thirsty?

This is an important part of the MOC. All the utensils fit in the mess kit.

And the handle folds down.

Main part of the MOC.

It’s on fire!

You know what would be cool? If there was some sort of link to the MocOlympics or something... Yeah, that'd be cool...
And another link out of spite.

Mr. Monkey, A refreshing change of scale is very welcome. You had a great idea and took it to the fullest. Think about what would be the best way to present something like this? Should you take it outside and pretend to camp? Presentation can make all the difference. Thank you for sharing your take on the categories. ~Dave

Matt forgot to mention round 2 starts on Wednesday. I really liked this build, especially because of the scale. All the other aspects of the set were great although some may have thought them to be somewhat off topic. But that's being awfully picky. And that's why we see such a narrow point spread among a bunch of builds. So good luck in the next round!

Amazing take on the category. Even better for being 'life-sized'. Went camping back in August and had a couple gas stoves with us, but they were the flat ones you get, anyway good luck with the judges.

Great, now you made me hungry. This entry is solid proof you don't need a fire lord to replace the obvious of a theme like fire! I love this! Good luck with your judges!

The Technic steering wheel as the gas-control valve is perfect. Everyone has described all the cool details, but I will echo the general sentiment that you should be on to round 2 based on creativity alone. Not sure I want to eat a square-egg though. Good luck with the judges!

Quoting Eric W. This is really cool! I like how everything functions as if it were real. I sell these things in real life at work and I have to say you did an awesome job recreating it! Oh you might get a little bit of cat hair in your mouth when you take a drink ;) This is a superb moc! Good Luck!
I have two cats. It's inevitable that some piece of hair is on SOMETHING in this MOC. Thanks!

Quoting Roger Brickjet Lovely! Great details on the burner! Though you could have trimmed the weight with a spork instead ;)
I thought that, but HOW do i MAKE a spork?

Why? You can go backpacking in the winter.

The pan seems to me as if it could use a little work, but the rest is very nice, particularly the stove. I also like how you made everything collapsible, and those eggs– I'm not sure why, but they made me laugh, so take that as a sign that I like them. Great job and good luck!
