Finally! My secret project is finally done!
About this creation

Here's my first semi truck: the Mercedes-Benz Actros. At 20 studs wide and 101 studs long, it's also the biggest MOC I've ever built by myself (the biggest MOC I've ever built was a ship that my brother, sister, and I built a couple years ago). Because it's so big, I encountered HUGE problems! First, the weight was an issue. The cab itself weighs about 2 pounds, which isn't so bad, but the trailer weighs 4 pounds! When you connect them, they weigh just over 6 pounds! And that's not when they're loaded!
As a result, I had a lot of problems with the plates not being able to support its massive weight. Second, it's so long, that I couldn't use the regular glass that I normally use to take pictures on. We have a glass that's big enough, but there's tons of stuff on it, and it weighs a lot. Thankfully, my dad and brother were "willing" to help me move it. You can view more pictures here.

The engine.

The cab's interior.

Inside the trailer. I wasn't able to plate the all of the inside due to lack of parts. It holds up to two cars.

That's weird, I thought I had commented on this before 0.0 Anyways, great work on the front grill, looks really accurate. The lettering on the side is quite nice too, thii definitely deserves way more likes. |

This thing is enormous! It does look like you ran out of bricks about 3/4 of the way through, but you made the colors work, in my opinion. Plus, sometimes it's just fun to build something that big...nice work! |

Hey this is great. Sorry I missed it, I have been all consumed with my moc olympics entry. I love the cab especially the front, you have even left some studs showing - always a favourite with me. You are very welcome to ask me questions - I like it :). But in this case I can't help. I can't think of any sets with grey 'car friendly' pieces. I assume you mean wheel arches and mudguards etc, I am not even sure if they come in grey. Good luck with the hunt. I hope to start another german car for your contest soon.
Actually, I wasn't specifically looking for a set that has grey wheel arches/mudguards, but I do prefer one that includes them. I don't "need" a set that comes with those - I've found a Bricklink store that sells wheels/tires that I build with and light bluish grey mudguards. Thanks again! |

That is biiiig! The front of the tractor is really good; recognisable as a Mercedes Actros straight away. The trailer isn't quite as nice, but I guess getting enough parts was hard (maybe do a flatbed like SC says below). Great to see you building ambitious stuff : ) Tractor 4/5, Trailor 3/5 |

The truck is great, especially the front lighting & vents. I would've liked to see a more "quality over quantity" approach for the trailer, though. Maybe a flat-bed that's color coordinated? |

Very nice and BIG. The cab is great - very nicely detailed; the trailer could be taller but I guess the bricks ran out ? |

Very nice.. and nice presentation! Even you say you run short on parts the outcome is very nice and interesting. I especially like the rear mudgueards - very styly. The trailer perhaps should be a little bit higher, but other than that - excellent MOC. |
