MocOlympics Round 1: Summer
This is my entry to the 2011 MocOlympics round one. My category is Summer, so I made a summer themed city diorama! This year, I didn't want to repeat the mistake I did last year, so I put a lot of work into this, and I like how it turned out.
About this creation

The top of the diorama.

The red hotel building.

There is a restaurant on the roof.

The grey building, with a restaurant inside.

Greebles on the roof.

A balcony.

The beach, with a diver!

Close up on the fence at the beach.

A luxury house near the water. There is a guy with a lawnmover in the garden.

The front of the house.

A boat and a man fishing.

The police has caught a thief.

The police car. I know, the side windows looks weird, but I didn't have any other windows to put there. :P

Minifig-eye view of the street. I were originally going to make the street studless, but you can probably figure out why I didn't. ;)

I hope you liked my first MOCOlympics 2011 entry! Please rate and comment!

EDIT: I lost the first round again. :P Fiasco once again!

I liked this a lot, and the effort certainly shows, but Dave's right, the connection to the category was the weakness. Well built!

Mr. EKO, It's clear that you DID put a lot of effort into this creation, and you did a great job. One thing that's missing is that ONE thing that shows how it relates to the theme you chose. You clearly have a lot of skill, but take a loot at the color and texture choices you made... sometimes there can be too many colors in a MOC or conversely, not enough texture when only one color is used. Thank you for sharing your take on the categories. ~Dave

Oh no! I'm out. :/ I put a lot of effort into this and thought it was enough to get to round 2, but the entries this year were much better than I expected them to be.

The closed umbrella! Great work, but you might want to work on sharper pics? A solid entry! Good luck with your judges.

Quoting cyberfrank 2010 it s terribly off scale, but the architecture, and space management is interesting, it reminds me cool city from sean kenney! it looks pretty cool indeed!!!
Due to my lack of pieces, I couldn't make them bigger, but it doesen't really matter for me. I'm glad that this reminds you of a Moc by Sean Kenney, though!

Good job! The buildings and the amount of things going on is impressive but the scale of the buildings isn't really right yet. I like the lettering on the Hotel and the shade-cloth.
