My take on the earth theme: EARTHRISE.
About this creation

One small step for minifig...

Suddenly, from behind the rim of the moon, in long, slow-motion moments of immense majesty, there emerges a sparkling blue and white jewel, a light, delicate sky-blue sphere laced with slowly swirling veils of white, rising gradually like a small pearl in a thick sea of black mystery. It takes more than a moment to fully realise this is Earth…home. –Astronaut Edgar Mitchell, Apollo 14-

Different shots of the LEM. I was shocked nobody posted a LEM before on MOCpages! Please correct me if I'm mistaken...

Detail of the many facets of the LEM.

Detail of the ladder.

Detail of the landing platform. The cuffs were a good solution, thanks for the idea, Lennaert!

It's not all work and serious on the moon. Them astronauts had some good (unrecorded) laughs too!

" Uranus, or mine?"

Moonshot!

Or about that time they left the keys inside the LEM. "Uhm, Houston, we have a problem!"
Thanks for playing everybody at the big O's .

Very clever use of the background! I had to subtract because it was on the moon, not Earth. But you gained all those points back with the moonshot pic. Congrats! |

Gio, The lander and the astronauts were spot-on. The one shot of the astronaut descending really carried the low-gravity feeling. I wonder if you pushed the backdrop further away if you could create more depth of field in the photograph and a little focus shift to make the Earth seem distant? Thank you for sharing your take on the categories. ~Dave |
