Your Venator is what got me obsessed with building my own. Please check mine out. It is based o the “Primus” Venator & my mods were inspired by your Giant Venator.
If only I had the Money, the Space, & the Time to make one like yours. It is sooo... COOL!!! ;)
I am trying to recover some of the cost of building mine by selling a 2nd one with my own LDD building instructions and all the pieces or with the directions and mostly assembled in sections. If you know of anyone that would be interested please let me know.

The improvements look great...can it be improved? Did you put a metal structure inside now or is it all lego...We're still trying to find people like you who want to expose their moc at Geekopolis next year in Paris. One more thing. Looks clear to me that you cannot make these instructions for free. Found free instructions for a baby venetor 112cm long...
Anyway I still consider this as the best moc I've ever seen. Salut...100% LEGO, c'est marqué partout, même sur la vidéo YOUTUBE, où il y a aussi sa taille.

Hands down the coolest lego creation I have ever seen, and I've seen them all. Although Verszegi's idea, I think this is a slight improvement, especially the slanted landing bay door, a lot of the trimming, and most importantly a few thousand more pieces and minus the glue and steel frame. Fan freakin tastic. Oh, man, if you can manage getting the instructs made, (a monumental task on its own), I would love to buy a copy. And thankyou for the wonderful build. I've been excited about it since I found it. |

A-ma-zing! I feel like I should comment on the accuracy of the MOC, but I feel like the quality of the build just supercedes any kind of resemblance to the original spaceship. SO BIG! I'm curious as to how you keep that thing from falling to pieces. The greebling is top-notch, second to none on this site. The fact that it can only be rated a 5 seems unfair. Great work! |

Thats quite a bit more than I expected, but not more than some of my friends have spent on their hobbies. I might be able to save it up in half a decade. Erik Varszegi's model left quite an impression on me when I first saw pictures of it 6 years ago, so 5 years to get a chance to own it myself is not that unreasonable when I think about it. All the hard work has already been done by you after all. It's also incredible that the makers of the Rafale fighter jet might be doing the instructions for this ship. Really says something about the complexity of the model.
They work with LEGO bricks since a long time to promote CATIA V5 and V6 to their customers.
They made this in 2009 :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tr1o2wzm7Sg
Resolution was too bad to help me in my creation. They gave me the high-res version at the end to help me to check and control my work. |

How much do you estimate it cost you to build this incredible spaceship? I saw that you mentioned that instructions could be released in about a years time. I am really wondering how many years it would take me to be able to afford a model such as this one.
Hi !...At the moment, (because it is frequently improved and present, now, a strengthened superstructure and an improved color scheme), it costs about 10.000,00€...
For the instructions, I'm still waiting for an agreement with DASSAULT SYSTEMES. |

Hello,
don't know why but my previous post was deleted. I was wondering, are you going to sell the instructions once they are available ? This model looks amazing, I'm speechless ...
Hi, a lot of people are waiting for these instructions. DASSAULT SYSTEMES works hard on it.
But the situation is not as simple as I expected before. We (me and DS) must find an agreement, equal for both sides. DS told me they need several months to achieve this project, may be one year. At first, I wanted these instructions free for everybody, but DS doesn't want to work for peanuts. We must find this agreement...and it will take time. |

Can't stop looking at it. Best version ever made. Is the FX guy making progress with his instructions...?
Hello Paul, I've created the "physical" model . the goal was to build it 100% LEGO.
My task is now complete. People from DASSAULT SYSTEMES will now work on full instructions book, their task is to create a virtual model too. I have provided all documents related to construction. Unfortunately, I can not intervene in their process of developing plans. I just know they work very hard on it.
This maybe take a long time, because the instructions is almost 15 to 20 times more important than the 10179 UCS Millennium Falcon's instructions book.
We have other exciting projects in progress.
Always the same process, I build and the people at DS make virtual model and instructions.
I'm now working on a huge super-UCS X-wing fighter... |

Looked at all the picture on your brickshelf and it gives a closer look at this great construction
1. Does it have a metal support structure or is it the technic parts that carry everything.
2. The red and yellow pattern seems to made of tiles that are not lego? But it looks great.
3. Did you use only light bluish gray and dark bluish gray or did you use the old grays as well.
Good idea of using dark colors for the back of the ship. Engines rating 5*****!

Holy creep that's great and big. All those details, angels and SNOT are just amazing. Looks totally the real deal from the movies. Is it the same as You can find on Youtube? Belongs in a Lego museeum with other great constructions. 5/5 from a jaw dropping fan!!
on the youtube trailer, DASSAULT SYSTEMES only reproduced the "skin"...It could be the same but I preferred to create my own thrusters and greebs, I also added minor cosmetic details...
I also added some extra details to improve accuracy. |

Wow. That it probably the smallest you can have it (maybe) to where it still retains all the details of the real ship. If you are building a Separatist Frigate (I can't think of the name) next, then good luck! I hope to see more soon! - KP |

Wow... This rivals Mark Kelso's Invisible Hand! What scale is it, 1:24, 1:2, etc.? Or in other words, is it minifig scale?
absolutely NOT A minifig scale.
At minifig scale, it should measure about 30 meters !...
it is a 1/466 scale model. |

Stunningly beautiful! It would be a star attraction at a Legoland exhibit. I'm glad you didn't feel the compulsion to tile over the whole thing. Did you delete your earlier progress photos? I was interested in going back and looking at some of your construction techniques. |

Even though there are a decent amount of large-sized Venator creations out there, your model still shines with its consistently accurate details! Can't wait to see your latest creations! |

Absolument fantastique !
