A slick little number, lightly armed but swift. It is the only Trans-L ship in the fleet small enough to make a planetary landing. It can carry a small party of soldiers or functionaries, and often is sent ahead of the main fleet to negotiate surrender or assassinate specific targets.
In the midst of full fleet combat the corvettes swarm around the larger ships, providing defensive ire with their twin mid-range energy cannons.
Standard Compliment for an Expeditionary Fleet:12-20
SHRIEK DESTROYER
A blazing killer, small packs of Shrieks can take out capital ships with their heavy plasbeam bore cannons.
Standard Compliment for an Expeditionary Fleet: 14-24
BURST FRIGATE
The Spartan of the fleet, this ship is both shield and spear, missile interceptor and fighter hunter. The frigates often fly out with fighters into the middle of dogfights, tearing holes through flights of enemy fighters with their pincushions of mid-range energy cannons.

DELUGE WEAPONS PLATFORM
*GRUNT!* ME GOT SHOOTAS!
It's big, it's slow, it's mean. This one carries small defensive turrets, long-range cannons, and huge steaming pile of ship-to-ship missiles. Fusion warheads, string unravellers, worm charges, trans-l skip-rockets, armor-piercing plague injectors, you name it, this Lug's got it.
Standard Compliment for an Expeditionary Fleet: 10-20
GABRIEL BATTLESHIP
This one has similar primary armament to the Shriek, plus small rocket tubes, but is much slower and serves a different purpose. While the Shriek hurtles forward into the teeth of the battle, Gabriels hang back with the main fleet, serving as defenders.
Though they cannot land like the Bonespike, the Gabriels can operate in atmosphere, and are often sent down on suppression missions or to take out dirt-side planetary defense installations.
Standard Compliment for an Expeditionary Fleet: 14-24
