My shot at the MOColympics. I have gone for the category "fire" with a hardsuit designed for combat in a volcanic or fiery environment/atmosphere. I had to use the Guinness Book of World Records for a background (it was the most volcanic-looking I had). Hope you like it!
About this creation
This is in the category "fire". Just a hardsuit for fiery conditions. Here is the link to the MOColympics 2011 group.
The side. The chainsaw is my of my own design. So are the feet. Well actually, they were probably, unknown to me, used by some other builder before me.
The back. Sorry about the asymmetry with the clips, but they were the only way I could incorporate the tube-thing.
The (other) side. Here there is my custom gun, and a missile that I decided to show launching. I really like how that flame-tail thing came out.
The front with the windscreen removed. One of my favourite parts in this creation is those flames that go along beside the head. I think with the windscreen it makes a sort of a "cockpit" kind of feel to it. The weird gun is an experiment of mine; it turned out a bit odd.
A final epic pose. Also, could someone please tell me which set I have managed to get the minifigure head used in this creation from? I just found it in a big box of Lego and don't know where it is from.
Forgot to mention that CB1 is over, unfortunately. However, what you should do now is work on making a Garrison or Milia for MLRC. Contact me there by replying to one of posts if you need help or have questions. Thanks!
Very creative parts usage for this. Nice work. And as for the head, it is from either the 6977-1 Arachnoid Star Base, 6837-1 Cosmic Creeper, 2964-1 Space Spider, or 6942-1 Zo Weevil
sets that came out in 1998/99.
Mr. Rider, The hardsuit was a very cool concept and had some interesting parts usage. Like Nick Jensen's suit, you might have benefited from creating a fiery brick built environment in which this suit could exist in. Thank you for sharing your take on the categories. ~Dave
