Introducing the craftiest Lego creation I have ever made: a real, working movie theater! Besides the great construction of the theater itself, the magic lies in my laptop, which thankfully has a DVD drive. Can you guess yet? The theater screen is my laptop itself!! It is hidden inside the movie theater, and none of it can be seen except the top and the electrical plug sockets and heat of which I built spaces for. This awesome creation contains about 3,000 pieces, weighs 3 lbs. (the laptop adds 4 more), and took about 2 hours to build over a period of 5 days. What a theater, huh?! You could fall asleep even during the film in those velvet seats, couldn’t you? The two stairways lead up to the highest seating at a height of a Lego three-story building. The theater can seat 80 people at the maximum.

This is the Screen Stadium with the roof on it. The building is shaped weirdly, but I was low on bricks when I built this.

Here you can see the insides more clearly. At the entrance there is the ticket booths, the popcorn & drink stands, and the entrance to the seats. I modeled the seating after an IMAX theater in my hometown in the USA.

The creativity and the idea, that's what I vote on... If you ave enough bricks you should make more detailed and finished movie theater

Ingenious idea, using a laptop for the screen. If the rest was in the right color, like the green walls, it would be a 5 for sure.

i think its good except i suggest having a wall on the end of the seats so that if someone falls asleep they dont land on the hallway below (ouch!)

When you just stand back and look at it it's lame, but working screen? That's brilliant! The bald guys are a problem too... Gee, your LEGO guys watched Cars before I did! -- -- Michael

Very creative concept, and a lot of great ideas. Well done... but don't forget the fire exits for that 80 mini-figs seating capacity :O !!! Understand the brick limitations, but maybe move some of the dark grey 1x2 blocks you used at top down to the bottom to simulate a door.

Overall a very good build and very creative idea to integrate the laptop. Color scheme could use some work, but as you said, you were low on bricks. A litte more interior detail might be nice and maybe some type of flagstone floor in it or something like that. Using tiles out front to define a sidewalk and parking area might also add to the realism. Very cool though and again, I love the use of the laptop!

Very nice! Only one problem. Radiation from sitting on the keyboard or too close to the screen seem to have made all the patrons go bald. ;-)

This is awesome. I like how you used your laptop keyboard area as your creation base and the screen for the movie screen. This is very creative. Fantastic job.

Wow!.... In my opinion, since there is no room inside you should make a popcornstand/canteen outside in the corner to the right.

this is brilliant! at first i thought you'd just added an LCD monitor, but integrating a laptop is genius!
