MO:R1 Summoning the Guardian
So 1 day left its time for me to jump aboard this ship!
About this creation
MOC Olympics Homepage

OK now that the legal stuff is out of the way, you should not need a PhD in Astrophysics to guess what theme I chose, but for any lost for ideas - I chose Earth.

So here we have a lonely wizard who has travelled the lengths of the lands in order to find the hidden and sacred Earth Summoning Altar. Here it is that he solo summons the Earth Guardian, the most ancient and most powerful Earth Elemental.

I'm not sure what people consider a rushed build, this took 3 hours to build...

That path looks super smooth regardless of the twists and turns and I love the neat twirling magic effect of the stepped trans plates. I did some quick builds for last years games but this is a cracking build for three hours! Great job and good luck.

Quoting Matt David This one was a lot of fun to view, and you really knew how to photograph the build in a way that shows off the best parts. Excellent work!
Haha thanks, I got most of the angles right but the actual photos show a lack of effort in lighting and clarity, but thanks none the less. Thats what I get for a 5 minute photo session...

Quoting Leda Kat =^..^= 3 hours?! Boy you are one talented little kiwi. The shape of the base works so well with the earth theme, keeping it organic looking. the steps cutting up through the dio is pulling me in, making me want to walk up them. Excellent entry!
I wasted 5 years of my life playing fantasy based computer games, I hope I took something positive away from it - like imagination ;)

I do not know what I appreciate the most: the stairway? The mighty statue? The design and the clever use of rounded plates? The colors'choice? Maybe all combined. Great MOC, hope you reach R.2!

The rocks, trees, shrubs, and pathway is really well done ! I must say the earth guardian is very cool, and you used great colors for it and the pieces to resemble vines is a brilliant idea. I think the "magic effect" around it is genius ! 5/5

The unique base alone warrants extra points. As for the rest of the MOC ... heavenly! Well, heaven on earth, hehe ... (Unsolicited advice: As the competition will get fiercer, the photography must also get better. I know you can photograph really well, but the pictures here will not fly in the later rounds. Good luck!)
