Also here is a link to the Christmas themed blog I had last December. I am planning on starting it back up next December, so if you like this build be sure to follow it.
Now onto the creation...
An old man steps out of his house to take in the morning air. He takes a moment to marvel at the beauty of the day.
It's your typically wonderful "winter wonderland" on Brick Street. Minifigs are frolicking around in the snow, and school has been cancelled yet again.
But they why would this little boy be so unhappy. What could possibly upset a child on a day like this?
Oh... That's right, the snow-blower could.
The snow-blower is out to destroy the winter fun. With the aid of his evil invention he forces all the snow away, leaving only wet grass and a trail of mud.
Every gust of wind that blows out of his dasterly machine brings Winter one step closer to a bitter end.
He mercilessly blows away all the snow until the roads are clear enough to drive to school on. He must be stopped, but who can save us from such a foe?
Fortunately, the kids of Brick Street are out to stop him. Here is the team leader Timmy. He is positioned in the most dangerous place: right in front of the machine. This kid is willing to risk being buried head to toe in the frigid snow to save winter.
Behind the snow-blower we have Quentin. He mans the snow fort, which has an extra arsenal of snowballs.
Quentin will strike from behind when the snow-blower is least expecting it. He wants to preserve the beauty of winter, and because of his upcoming math test he really doesn't want to go back to school.
Here is Emilio. No one really knows this kid, but he seemed eager to be on a secret mission, so he was stationed in his tree house.
There is no room in this team for wimps. It looks like little Kevin was thinking of backing out. Its a good thing out little red knight decided to bring his armor today.
Bobby will take care of him, but he better be a little quieter about it. The man getting his morning paper is starting to look suspicious...
Everyone is in position. They're all ready to strike in 3... 2... 1...
Here are some bonus shots of this build:
Here is the house I build for this model. I had a lot of fun building it. I came up with the idea for the wall design a long time ago, but this is the first time I actually tried it. I really like how it turned out.
Here is a skier practicing some moves on a nearby hill.
Here is a snowboarder who is also taking advantage of the snow. And what's with the dude behind her?
It looks like he isn't used to such low temperatures. Even under all those layers hes still cold. He wouldn't last a day in Antarctica.
Here is a young couple going on a romantic stroll in the snow. Aren't they cute together (*BARF...*)?
So that concludes my first entry for the 2011 MocOlympics. This has been my first Mocpages post in a long time. I have been going through something of a dark age over the past few months due to school and other commitments. This tournament has been a great way to get building again. I hope you all enjoy this creation as much as I did. Good luck to all the builders competing in the MocOlympics.
Thanks for participating in the 2011 MOC Olympics! You received a total score of 26. I'm sorry but you are not in the top 64. Please follow this link to the MOC MIT group for more chances at great prizes!
Wow this is really neat! I love how
You put a story with your creation it gives the viewer one more reason to read and look further. The house I think is the main attraction. I really like the mushroom as a shield it looks like he deflected a snowball with it. Overall this is a great creation. Hope to see you in the next round :)
