This is the Gecko, it is one of the mini-bosses from the game Einhander, it is a four legged spider tank equipped with a laser cannon on top. The Gecko prefers to fight sliding along tubes rather than on flat surfaces, it is equipped with a magnetic field that allows it to stick to surfaces and slide along.
Oh, nice model... but I could never beat that thing, and just getting to it with enough lives to even have a good try is almost impossible for me. Perhaps you should build the little trolley cars that held the various attachments to guide the weaponry...
Steampunk... Mmmmmmm, delicious Steampunk...
It would look UBER cool if you armored the gears and added ankled feet or something: even cooler if you added a crew or commander. EDIT: Oh, oops, that's not your own design. Never mind.
Unlike Brian, I'm one of those that are unfamiliar with Einhander but this is a great MOC all the same. I love the exposed gears and the copious amount of greebles used - the whole thing just screams manga!! the feet might need a little work as if it were to stick to surfaces via electromagnetisn, surely a flat or dished foot would be preferable? either way, this is a great MOC and I love the colour scheme - Yellow is a vastly underrated building medium but suits this very well - As Brian suggested, you may want to pull a pic of this from the game for comparison purposes but I think you've done a great job here! ;)
Looks good...I like the mechanical feel the gears give it. One thing though, you probably shouldn't post an MOC until the pictures are ready because now this will not be seen on the front page where most of the activity takes place and you won't get as many hits as you might have. Still, nice job here... the only thing I might change are the feet unless that's what they look like in the game. One more thing (as if I haven't said enough already) you might consider grabbing a screenshot from the game off the internet and posting it with your pics so people unfamiliar with the Einhander have something to compare your creation to. OK, I'm done... ; )
