Dark Red CitroŽn DS20
A variation on the CitroŽn DS20 by Henrik Hoexbroe
About this creation

The Bordeaux red (Dark Red) and white top color scheme is my favorite combination as it comes to the DS 20.

Since there are no DkRed 1x1 modified bricks with 1 horizontal stud I had to come up an alternative method - as compared to the original designs - to attach the fenders. I used two DkRed headlights and a 1x1 tile to overcome this problem.
The orginial designs include lever/antenna windscreen wipers which are pinned between grills. This was not possible since the 2x6 bricks with a 4L curve are used as a hood. It would have been nicer to use 1x4 curved slopes but these are not available in DkRed (at least not when I last checked Bricklink)

The rear end of the car stayed the same, more or less. The roof is attached in a different way. I did not use a 1x2 modified plate with rail and trans-clear plates, but two 2x2 corner plates to attach the 2x4 white tile.

Some shots of the bottom of the car... always interesting ;)

This is how I managed to attach the front wheels. This suspension allocates the front wheels slightly more towards the front as compared to the original from Henrik Hoexbroe. It does allow the wheels to spin!

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the brief explanations are sufficient :)

I see that you have now posted new photos, and explaining some methods. (thanks!) You wheels spin because the diameter is smaller. I use bigger diameter wheels. Also, regarding the windscreen wipers, there is a solution that might work for you, which I used in the police car version of the DS in my DS-Mania moc. See this photo; http://www.mocpages.com/image_zoom.php?mocid=265641&id=/user_images/19323/1303747694m -Itīs actually better with 1x3 arcs in the middle of the hood! ;-)

That's true, but I've changed the suspension to the version from the instructions :)

Quoting Kamphuuzz . Looks really good KJ. Keep up the good work :) The DarkRed looks really good on this model!
Thanks J. Have not talked to you in ages ;) I know you also made Henrik' car in DkRed with yet another front wheel suspension. Maybe something for a first upload :P (together with some other stuff I've seen from you?)

Quoting Henrik Hoexbroe Lovely to see it in these colours! I could certainly use it for my upcoming "MegaMOC"! I notice that you didnt include the windscreen wipers. Dont they make a grill in DkRedŅ? I also spot your enginious way of attaching the front fenders. Also I noticed that you based your construction on my old v1 DS. The new one (with the instructions published) is one plate lower, and has some other improvements to it! Thank you for mentioning me! :-)
You've spotted most of the changes you can see on these pictures. To add another: the roof is attached differently. Tomorrow I'll add some pictures of the front suspension, so you'll be able to see my solution (This one has enough clearance for the wheels to roll :)). As for the windscreen wipers; DkRed grills are available, however 1x1x4 DkRed curved slopes are (were?) not. I was forced to use the 1x2x6 bricks with a 4L curve, which did not allow room for the grills. Thanks for the comment and of course you can use it in "MegaMOC", I would be honored. All changes a side, it still is your design and therefore deserves to be credited as such. I just wanted to see it in my favorite color :P
