Ford AC Cobra 427 (4-wide LDD)

When I thought about an American Classic to build in 4-wide, the Cobra was the first in my mind. So I looked around on the MOCpages to get some inspiration for my model.
About this creation
I found a model built by Aaron F. which looked cool. But I wanted the model more stretched and curvy so I added some studs in the length.



It was quite tricky to get the typical curves, especially in the rear part of the model.



I made 15 versions in LDD until I came up with this one



Finally I used the same construction for the rear end as Aaron did in his model. I found no solution which worked better. But I added one stud between the rear part and the rear wheels to stretch the model a little more.



I hope you like this one. By the way, all the parts are currently (September 2011) available in the LEGO Shop.

Quoting Senator. Chincilla . Really nice ideas for the front bumper and rear fenders!
I saw the front bumper on LEGO City Police cars and thought it would work nicely on the Cobra, too.
