This was an actual set produced. I altered the color scheme to match the 1979 theme. I always liked the gray/blue better than the white/blue...I changed a few pieces here and there...hard to resist...
About this creation
































I always thought that Lego should have called this ship the "Galaxy Explorer" and the "Explorer" should have been named the "Galaxy Commander"...

Hey, this model looks great with the classic color scheme. I think it looks even better than the original white/blue model.

I think this is the set I preferred when I was a kid... I like more the white and blue version but this is a nice variation.

nice ships! i love those trans-yellow parts! especially the reversed slopes in the cockpit! i wish lego would do some more of them! you did a cool job on this ship!
