Trailer 5 (Flatbed)
Flatbed trailer for my US Trucks scale 1:17,5 with PF and lights. It features solid axle suspension, landing gear, parkingbrake and liftable first axle.
About this creation
With the build of my US Truck 9 model, which is a winch truck, I had to build a trailer that goes with it. To be honest this trailer already exist, I used it in the video that shows my heavy duty truck. This basically was just a preview and the trailer needed to be refined. So here is the final version of this flatbed trailer.

It's not the first time I build a flatbed, but this time it has no drops in it. My first flatbed was a drop deck trailer it was pretty cool anyway but I wanted to build one without a drop. I did not spent money on new parts so it is in the same color scheme except for the chrome wheels. Except for the color scheme this is an entirely different trailer.

In order to load and unload trailers using a winch the trailer needs to “kneel” down. It is just that the trailer is released from the fifth wheel and it is landed without the landing gear. This makes the front end of the trailer reach the surface and now a load can be pulled unto the trailers deck.

It's realy not new on my models, but it is great fun though. This trailer is again equipped with a liftable axle. Don't forget it is always challenging to re-use a feature in a different model. Since it is a different model with different structures this makes it a completely new situation. Implementing an already existing feature is therefor quite tuff.

Quoting Vibor Cavor Amazing as always. I really stopped being surprised at the things that you do. I see something as awesome as this and all I can say is: "of course he did it! What else could I expect!" :))
Is this good or bad... :-) No I'm kidding...thank you very much for the kind words!!!

Quoting biomaster1231 mutch that is soooo cool. i love it. how long did it take to build??
I don't realy know because most of my models evolve. Basically it is "remake" of both my first flatbed and my red log trailer also displayed here on MOCpages...
Quoting Senator. Chincilla . I'm just amazed by the amount of functions you put into a flatbed trailer.
It took me quite a while because of the limited space in this type of trailer...you're right about that!!!
