My Entry for the Great Lord of the Rings Contest. It is based off the movie not the book. Enjoy.
About this creation
The Group Home: The Great Lord of the Rings Contest

Side note: The tree branches do go over the 32x32 border but according to the rules tree branhes are aloud to over hang.

A close up on the horde of Urukai.

A close up on Legolas and Gimli at the bottom of the ruins.

And a close up on Aragorn fighting the Urukai on the top of the ruins.

An epic shot of Legolas and the Urukai.

The Ruins.

The Urukai again.

And a shot of Lurtz the leader of the horde of Urukai from Orthanc.

A birds eye view partially displaying how the entry is in fact on a 32x32 base plate.

The underside of the ruins (I had to take Gimli away for this shot).

A close up on the Eagle statue.

Another shot of the Ruins.

The Three Fellowship members featured in this MOC. (From left to right) Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli.

And the Urukai with Lurtz in the middle.

Now onto some shots of the build with no figs.

Hope you enjoyed!
See You next time!

Accuracy: Looks just like the movie! 28/30 Minifigs: Good, just I don't like the faces on Aragorn and Legolas, and Legolas body isn't green. 15/20 Originality:8/10 Creativity: Great build! 30/35 Photos:5/5 86/100

All in all: 91/100 (from me)

Great job! This is cool; your score is as follows: (ACCURACY TO BOOK OR MOVIE) - looks just like the movie, though I think the watchtower pinnacle could have been dark gray instead of black. But the whole scene is instantly recognizable: 29/30; (MINIFIGS) - All the decals are awesome, and I like Legolas and Gimli. Aragorn could use a new face but for yellow figs there aren't many options: 18/20; (ORIGINALITY) - A little bit of an obvious choice for a 32x32, but the execution takes away any bland feelins towards the MOC - 7/10; (CREATIVITY/TECHNIQUE) - use of decals was flawless, and the snot techniques for the stairs, and then the awesome path, trees and watchtower. The whole thing speaks volumes of talent: 33/35! (PICTURE QUALITY) - On the darker side, but great angles and not blurry at all - 5/5! TOTAL: [92/100]! Sweet build!

Accuracy: The whole tower is indeed black, but I just googled for some 'Amon Hen' pictures and noticed that this looks exactly like in the movie. Excellent! 28/30 Minifigs I like that you prefer the classic skincolor and their weapons and decals are very nice and detailed. The only thing I don't like are Aragorn's and Legolas' heads 16/20 Originality 9/10 Creativity Nobody else did such a well detailed scene. I just love it, especially the little path to the tower 33/35 Picture Quality they are dark, yes, but not blurry (I agree with Chris) 5/5

@ Ru Corder: We are judging, I was just telling him what he could improve since he based it off the movie, Had it been the book it would be another matter. Accuracy: Very accurate build! Though the pinnacle should be dark grey: 28/30 Minifigs: The Uruks are great but The Toroso on Legolas should not be green, his face should change, and I would suggest the Elf hair. Aragorn's face should change but the torso, legs, and hair are perfect.: 15/20 Originality: 5/10 Creativity: Very creative 30/35 Photos: very good: 5/5 Total: 83/100

First: Nighthawk, great build! Very recognizable. Second: Mark and Aidan, there is this little thing called a "creative liscence" No, that face might not look perfect to you, but to him it might capture the look very well. If you want to get real nitpicky they weren't yellow in the movie either.

Great Build! The faces on Aragorn and Legolas need work, though. The best face in yellow for aragorn is the qui-gon face, and for legolas the luke skywalker face. Otherwise, this is really good. The Uruks and Lurtz are great!

Quoting Mark Murphy What I meant was that like Aidan said Legolas and Aragorn need the Qui-gon face and Luke skywalker face. Also Gimli's helmet should be silver and he needs his battle axe. ONe more thing is that Legolas' hair needs to be different, try the elf hair. Also Legolas (In the movie) does not wear any green at all so his torso should be brown or grey.
Are you going to mark me down quite a bit for it or not that much?

Where did you get those awesome decals! Those were great. Awesome entry. Gimli is super and I like legolas, but Aragorn's head and hair are a little 'iffy'. The build is really great though and I love the tree. The overhang is acceptable. Great job!
