I'd have had a tough time calling this one Shanno, you and Roger both gave me good belly laughs. That is why I am a cowardly competitor and not a judge. Good job mate, sorry to see you out. |

Ohhhh tough call. I really thought yours was hilarious, but that may be because I'm a married man and know the pains Robin goes through to keep the wife happy. LMAO Good job mate! |

Dude, this was a GREAT entry! ShannO, you know I love you mate but, my vote has to go with Roger on this one. It was a really tough call but I think he just edged you out a bit here. Feel free to kick me in the junk next time you make it to BW. ~ Chris. |

Dave found a hard word to that. But true, the trunk is not inspired enough for me. More like a 2x4 brick somehow. Its there, thats it. More emphasis! hot heart brave soul ;-) Never mind, I do not want to insult /ashame /diss you. Just some advice meant positively. |

Shan, for me this is a tough decision. Both entries in this category are original and hilarious, both builders seem to be a little bit out of their comfort zone. Using minifig legs to build a branch is as unusual as it is clever. But it's not the branches, it's the trunk that disturbes me. It's a huge part of your vig and it looks like it doesn't belong there (from its design). I'm sorry, my vote goes to your opponent. |

For whatever reason the minifig face on the main pic cracks me up. I also enjoyed the wedging of tiles into the side of the tree for steps: simple but effective. |

Very well done, The tree composition is good and the concept is hilarious. I know this must have been challenging with limited pieces to use, but you did a great job. |

Excellent way to work around not having enough forestmen OR enough brown. Very funny, and a solid build overall. The platform worked out great. Good luck to you and your opponent (grumble, grumble, grumble, this should have been my category, grumble, grumble, snort). |

the tree is kinda flimsy/thin looking but other then that it's awesome! since I'm the middle child my mom won't let me mow the lawn. I know it's hard work but I NEED THE MONEY! (to blow on more LEGO) |

Very good! I really like the big tree esp considering you don't have much brown etc. I've recently done a BL order to make sure I've got something in the event of me getting a category like this. I bet you would have preferred my category ;) |

Solid build Shannon. Easy to tell that you were out of your comfort zone here, but a solid build and an excellent idea. Best of luck! |

Haha! Man, that's great! Really lovely work! And the lighting effect is a really nice touch! Now I have a problem...should I continue with my entry or should I rethink it... My idea is not similar (though is does have a "platform" too) but the tree trunk certainly is...it was the only way I could think of doing it for us brown-impaired :)
And I realized that I don't have a single Forestman nor silly hat! But I'm hoping the peasants hood will work too :)
EDIT: Oh, and good luck with the judges! |
