Talika, mistress of the winds
Inspired by Talim from the game Soul Calibur II.
About this creation
Name: Talika
Gender: female
Species: Philex
Element: wind
Titles: Priestess, wind reader
Weapons: twin blades of wind
Alignment: Lawful Good

The Philex people are species related to the Glatorians that makes their home on a group of six tiny islands off the coast of the main continent. On each island, the people worship one of the six main elements. Talika is from the easternmost island, where they worship the god of the wind. As the apprentice of the village's shaman, she was taught in the art of using the traditional wind blades, and she has the ability to read the emotions on the winds.
One day, when Talika was practicing her wind-reading, she suddenly felt a surge of evil aura vastly stronger than anything she had felt before. Soon after, she found a strange shield-shaped artifact washed up on the shore that radiated the same type of energy that had caused the surge. She could tell that it's energy was drawn to a far-off location, and she believed that if she could return the object, the balance of peace would be restored. Despite the elders' misgivings, she decided to embark on a quest to find the source of the evil energy and to restore the artifact to it's rightful place.

Soul Calibur II - Guided by Wind

FUN FACT: this was the first time I used a metru torso piece on a MOC.

This is what the original character looks like.

Here's some more fighting poses...

Originally, instead of being based on Talim, I had wanted to start building a MOC that was green and white, and possible female. However, when she was about half-finished, I noticed how much it looked like Talim, so I just decided to go all out and give her elbow blades. I still wanted to make her a separate character, though, so I gave her a backstory that was an alternate version of Talim's official story-line, but was part of my own story. The torso is probably my favorite part of the MOC, I just like how it all fits together nicely. Anyway, feel free to rate and/or comment! :)

Quoting Warehouse Reach (the Arbiter) By the way what video game did you get that picture from?
I said in the opening description, it's from Soul Calibur 2. (The music is from Talim's main stage.)
