This is the device that creates the shield that protects the Master Chief from the Wraith mortars in the Halo 3 trailer.
About this creation
This is from the commercial Bungie released. My main picture is from that trailer. In the commercial the Chief is lying on the ground and is looking around, something, possibly a Pelican or Longsword passes overhead. He then searches for his helmet which he finds and gets up to a kneeling stance, in front of a destroyed Warthog, and spots his, or some else's assault rifle, the MA5C. As the Chief gets up and hooks the rifle to his back a Seargent asks, "Any sign of the Chief?" A Marine replies, "Negative Sir, I think we lost him." Then It shows the Master Chief looking at about seven plasma mortars that were launched from about seven Wraiths and says to either himself or over the COM to the two men, "Not yet." Then reaches down do a device on his belt. He clicks a button on it and throws it on the ground. It creates a shield around him as the mortars impact the ground and throws a Mongoose ATV or warthog into the air.The shield dissolves and he runs threw the dust cloud and jumps into a huge mass of Brutes. The commercial ends there. For those who have not seen it, go to google video and type in Halo 3 and click on the one with the two kids. You can also get on XBOX live. Here is a picture showing the front and the side at an angle. I tryed to make it look rounded but there were not any pieces that fit my needs on LDD. The bottom and top are rounded though.

You can see the trigger button in this view because it is closer than the other pictures. Those buttons I just added. I don't know why, I guess they just looked cool.

This is the shield it generates. Like I said it protects the Chief from the wraith mortars which you can see here. The ATV is just ahead of the Chief.
