Project AEGAKS: Spearpoint Collection 1
I have spent the last several months working very hard on these. I learned many of these techniques along the way.
About this creation
Foreward:

I have been working on the Project AEGAKS story arc for several years, and now I am happy to present the first Canon photo edits. Among the short stories that I have written/imagined have included the destruction of a village at night, the rifts among the Overseers, and even the rifts among the humans. This is just the first of many edit batches I hope to make.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and I'm not going to type a thousand words, but a brief description has been added to each. Enjoy!

The First Robot War started with Mecha One's rebellion and ended shortly after the mass deployment of the SPA's AEGAKS-101-MDS "Gosan". By the beginning of the Second Robot War, the venerable, but now outdated, Gosans were easily outmatched by Mecha One's new drones.

Takeshi, the pilot of the Arkham prototype called "Titan" that specializes in heavy fire. Takeshi has personal interest in fighting the drone hordes, as they were responsible for the deaths of first his mother, and later his father. He is child-hood friends with Sakura, who also lost family to the drones.

Sakura, the pilot of the Arkham prototype called "Salthum" that specializes in sniping. Sakura lost her parents before the First Robot War in a car accident, and was being raised by her grandmother, who was killed in the same attack that Takeshi lost his father. She's a good child-hood friends with Takeshi.

Ryu, the pilot of the Arkham prototype called "Mathril" that specializes in anti-air. Ryu is among the older pilots and was originally a factory worker in the Industrial Sector. When the Second Robot War began, Ryu escaped the carnage and joined the SPA.

Hitomi, the pilot of the "Fawkes" prototype that specializes in long range fire. She is Colonel Keiken's neice, the daughter of Keiken's sister. She's loud and annoying at times, and can be very pushy to get what she wants. She wanted to join the fight, and ended up under her uncle's command.

Hayato, the pilot of the original "Arkham" Prototype, inherited from it's previous pilot, Jack. Hayato was a member of a street gang in the Urban Sector, when he was arrested for petty theft. He exchanged jail time for SPA service, being a thrill seeker, and has often shown disregard for authority.

Misato, a Shiv Fighter pilot for the SPA. He is Hayato's older brother, seperated from him when they both young on the streets. HE ended up joining the SPA to escape the streets. During the Second Robot War, he was assigned to the Experimental Operations Force as a support.

Kenichi, the mastermind behind the Arkham and Fawkes prototypes, and son of the civilian engineer that built the original AEGAKS, "Little Blue". Kenichi is egotistical and is a verified genius. He works with the Experimental Operations Force as it's tech support.

The Sentai Province Army soldiers on, despite the drone onslaught. The mainstay of the SPA is the Gosan AEGAKS, a military deployment system. But with the drones advancing steadily, the soldiers use whatever equipment is on hand, even the antique Savant LCVs.

Mecha One, the original Overseer rebel and "leader" of the drones. Overseers link drones, allowing them to work together better and faster, but also allowing them to be controlled. Mecha One is on a quest to understand humanity, and then extinguish it.

Mecha Three, an Overseer who is only concerned with protecting his own existance. He leaves Mecha One and the others because he doesn't care what happens to the humans, as long as they leave him alone. In the final moments of the Second Robot War, he joins forces with the humans, as he sees the ever-increasingly egotistical Mecha One as a direct threat to his own existance.

Mecha Nine, an Overseer who sympathizes with the humans. Mecha Nine spares his enemies as much as possible, even as Mecha One tightens his control on the drones. With the failed human campaign to retake the Urban Sector, Mecha Nine defects to the overly suspicious humans.

The drone Veterans are survivors of the First Robot War that fled with the surviving Overseers. The original drones were laborers for the humans of the Sentai Province. Not suited for combat, these drones replaced large portions of their original bodies with enhanced battle gear.

The drone horde, as the humans call them, are the army that follow Mecha One's orders. Many of these underlings are heavily restricted by AI limiters, restricting their freewill to the point of almost mere machines.

When General Seino ordered the destruction of the remaining bridges between the Sectors, the drones began to fill the skies above the Agricultural Sector with drones, further burdening the remains of the SPA aircraft.

The perimeter of the Agricultural Sector is surrounded by SPA Anti-Air to help protect against drone incursions. Packer drone dropships are well equipped to slip past these defenses and drop off their lethal raider squads.

One of the short stories I wrote tells of a quiet night at a sleeping town. This night is shattered when a drone raid attacks. The drones destroy the SPA Garrison that was to protect the town, and then proceeded to annihilate the town and it's people, leaving no survivors. The town was discovered two days later when a SPA Recon Unit was sent to see why communications were not received.

Closure:

I'd like to thank the internet for all the free and unclaimed wallpapers that I used. Only free and unclaimed. I would also like to thank Octavian for his Mecha Drone frame that inspired me to make my Veterans. I would also like to thank everyone for taking the time to view this.

Quoting Peter Mowry Hey Bud sorry haven't commented sooner. But these are great, really admire your photoshop skills. Really like how you faded your layers together like the background of your Mech's. Excellent Job!!!
Thanks for the feedback. If you're interested in learning to do any of it yourself, I'd be happy to share the techniques I've worked out.

Quoting arik lego okay, so it'd probably be alright if I said they didn't have any form of nuclear weapons/technology in my story. and without Einstein around to reinvent it, the likelihood of them reappearing seems slim.
The technology still exists, though it's buried in the fog. So for all intents and purposes, it's inaccessable.

Quoting arik lego hm, yep. I kinda wish nukes had never been invented. war's changed a lot since those two atomic bombs dropped on Japan. anyway, back on topic. I have an idea. I've been brainstorming a bit and I got a story idea that'd fit with existing AEGAKS: Spearpoint canon but I could still have as my own story. hmm, do they have any form of nuclear weapons or technology at Sentai Mountain?
Not really. The survivors didn't take any weapons with them, nor did they take anything that amounts to a reactor. Mostly they took what they could when fleeing the Fog, so alot of solar cells, some wind turbines I imagine, and geothermal. Most of it is somewhat crude.

Quoting arik lego oh wait, I just read through your explanation of the Project AEGAKS storyline. so, there was a nuclear war? that kinda set my ideas back a bit. :P anyway, that makes sense.
It wasn't just a nuclear war. All sorts of WMDs were set off, from chemical and biological warheads, to concussion weapons (similar to targeted seimic weapons) to standard nukes. The fog was the result of a chemical reaction between the radioactive 'sludge' and a chemical dispersant used by survivors in America.

Quoting arik lego gotcha. I had some... ideas, for the AEGAKS storyline. most of it revolving around the mindset that it's a bit odd for Mecha One to never go past trying to claim one mountain in his big plan to eliminate all human life.
I see. Well so far I have it that he's studying the humans. That's why they haven' t been destroyed yet. I think he is trying to figure out what changed in him. That and he is developing the drones using the humans as gueana (sp) pigs.

Quoting arik lego okay, I've been looking through all the various Project: AEGAKS things and, well, I'm very interested in it. unfortunately I don't think you saw my other comment about this, so I'll say it here: can I join Project: AEGAKS?
All that's needed to join is to build your own AEGAKS. Now if you mean the group that is working on the official Canon that I started, then you should consult the timeline and character information that I posted in the PROJECT AEGAKS group. For a Canon build there are story restrictions.

Quoting arik lego hey Goldfish (er, what should I call you?), do you have any LDD models of Mecha One or one of the other Overseers?
Goldfish is fine. Yes I do have LDD files for the drones, but I don't make it a habit of sharing them regularly. Besides, I designed them be reverse engineering the original creator's works. If you can figure it out, then have fun!

You make a good point. While it would be perfect for an actual game, it just doesn't seem to blend quite as nicely as I'd hoped. I wish I knew a way to correct that CGI sheen in Gimp.

Now this is worthy of submittal to the Lego Corporation as an actual product line. Of course, if they did go ahead and actually make these they would most lkely screw it all up like the first time. Keep it up my friend. Your designs are still an inspiration even to those currently not building such as myself.

Quoting CEO Luiz Camargo Sorry Jason, I got no pics from Marte yet... But i modified Marte to look even more an AEGAKS (added a head, removable power cell and modified the back missiles and left arm). It's a lot way better now and soon I will send you the photos to Collection 2. Want some pics from Har-Maggedon too? It's still assembled.
I look foreward to seeing the upgrade, but I liked Marte the way it was too. And yes, please send pictures of the Har-Mageddon as well! It will definitely need to be highlighted.

Quoting Andrew AKA Hump-Free The Only Aspect That I Feel That Could Be Improved On Is Adding Some Background Info To Each Photo. I Know, That May Sound Like Nonsense But Think About The People Who May Come Across This Page And Happen To Be Unaware Of The Project And The Storyline. I Feel That With Some Descriptive Info, It Would Be More Friendly To That Audience. Also, I Feel That Would Help Spark Interest In Those People As Well. Other Than That, Each Photo Has A Dynamic Quality, And Each Have Been Edited Very Smoothly And Makes For A Nice Collection To Show Aspects Of The Storyline. In All Honesty, At The Moment That's All I Have To Say.
