3vilski
The Trident-class 3vilski is the embodiment of lethality. Bristling with weaponry and flying over snow and surf, the 3vilski can slice through enemy lines with ease.
About this creation
March 2007

-----

It's been a really long time since I posted anything. It feels good to dip back into the brick, and hopefully this moc is just the first of many new creations.

This is 3vilski. It's based on art in the CGSociety Spectacular Contest. It's the embodiment of lethality. Bristling with weaponry and flying over snow and surf, the 3vilski can slice through enemy lines with ease. A light FRAM cannon on top, a cluster mini-missile pod on either side, two pairs of missiles under the wings, and anti-personnel FRAP blasters under the skull.

I began this in April 2006. It's a smallish moc, I know, but even still, it took me over a year from start to finish. I had stuff going on in my life!

Progress pics can be seen here in the CSF Spacewerks thread or tagged "3vilskiwip" here on Flickr. Thanks to everyone who gave feedback along the way, it is MOST APPRECIATED!

Update #1- Someone in the reviews asked about the origins of 3vil. The Lugnet.space Faction Guide (a little outdated and underutilized, but still useful) says:
"3vil is by far the most evil faction to grace the LEGO space territories. So evil are they, “L337-speak” is actually one of their official languages. To be involved with 3vil is to be an underdog. 3vil has no allies whatsoever. Their only goal is complete domination of the universe. Whether you are a fascist Iron Reicher, a fundamentalist Galactic Inquisitor, or a Space Hippie who’s stench overwhelms a ship’s life support systems, you are undoubtedly on 3vil’s “To kill...” list. They are a force that good factions fear, and other evil factions get stabbed in the back by."

The subtheme was created by Mark Sandlin, but many other builders have also tried their hand at building for this faction, including Tom "Dr. Spamcake" McDonald, Legohaulic, stenz, and Chris "Fazoom" Giddens. And me, but you knew that. ;)

Very cool, but the Freedom Alliance's Manta hovertank would give it quite the battle... a very cool MOC.

Hey look, Ryan Wood built something again! :-P Awesome job, as usual. A perfectly adapted design to join the 3vil ranks. Although I think the word "wicked" fits it better. It just looks... wicked.

Lurvely. Looks just like the concept art. The gun on top is my favorite part.

I like how this came out. The skull is still bothering me, but my eyes are not yet adjusted to the 3wesomemess of this creation.

Inspirational and unique - This moc is certainly out of the ordinary and reminds me a little of the Cobra ships of Baron Ironblood from Action Force of the eighties. The likness to the original conceptual art is supurb and you attention to detail is excellent - this is certainly worthy of 5 smileys! great work. ;)
