In the intricate dance of ambush and counter-ambush that is mecha/mecha urban warfare, who's ambushing whom, exactly, tends to get a bit mixed up at times.
About this creation

I did this instead of working on the MOCIA. Sorry.
Not really sure why; just wanted to make something showcasing the destructive power of a mechae. Not many mocs do that. Not sure why.

No, I don't know why there's a massive industrial building in the same area as a house for the feeble minded and a park. I'd blame urban sprawl, myself.

This reminds me of an old joke: "Where is the pilot of a 47 tonne war machine allowed to go?"
The answer: "Wherever the hell he wants."
There's a couple of broken floors inside that gaping rent, but you can't see them well because they're darkly coloured and poorly lit.

"I declare this building to be collateral damage in the name of House Hood!"

Without mechae. Traffic laws: when you're the biggest thing on the road, the law is that you do whatever you frakking want, and everyone else moves out of the way.
Much the same applies to those signs in hotels.
"No dogs, asians or 15 metre war machines" is really more like a guideline than a rule.
And if it isn't, well, good luck enforcing it, that's all I'm gonna say...

I accidentally someone's corporate headquarters.

The villains of the scene.
Those of you who participated in or watched the Clonetard City series will notice the Banshee's a bit different. That's because it's the E configuration, which swaps out a cannon for a less tactically flexible but more powerful long-range missile launcher. Still really not suited for urban combat.

nice micro scene! have you seen my mech urban carnage? it definitively shows the destruction power of mechs! very nicely done areetsa! all it misses are your splendid gimp fire effects! no time?
I don't think so. As for effects: I don't actually tend to include those in dios. Probably because they'd obscure the laygoez, but I'm not sure. Might look into doing them for the title pics, though.

Nice mechaes, and the carnage of that white building is cool. I'd like to see more detail on top of the big building, though.
5 AM and I couldn't find any of the bits I'd want to use. Would've liked to, but you know how it is. Matter of fact, I'm not really satisfied with this as-is; I think I'll make some modifications and upload new pictures. |

Heh. All that's missing is the crowd of stepped-on people in the street. Or really: the human collateral damage in general. Of course, then you'd probably have a wider corpse-smear carpet than that time I played Prototype. |

Well, there's a reason there's no cars visible. The inhabitants of that particular town aren't TOTAL mental defectives; well, the ones in that mental hospital might be, but evereyone else was bright enough to take an unscheduled holiday before the dropships started to touch down. |
