LEGO HISTORY 101 - LEGO for Girls- SCALA
This is the 3rd Installment in LEGO's venture to the gir;'s market - SCALA. This was the biggest leap of faith LEGO ever took since almost all the sets were ONLY available in Europe & Asia. Some made their way into the LEGO SHOP AT HOME CATELOGUES but not all! These were fully articulated dolls whose elbows and knees bent and torsos could turn. They had rooted combable hair and brushes. Most of these pieces never saw their way into any other LEGO set unlike the way Belville and Paradisa parts are now seen in other LEGO Sets. This too had HOME & FUN TIMES as its theme! I remember ordering all of them and having my friends in England hold them there till I came to visit them, I added more whenI went to LEGOLAND WINDSOR, UK. I recall just how surprised my friend Dave was when I got 4 big boxes full of SCALA into one! They had to stay at JFK for a week because of the rooted hair! I gave you an example of a SCALA plate at the end. Please let me know if this is the first time you've seen the SCALA Range, and if you wish it would make a comeback. Yes, there is one more area for girls Clikits as soon as I find more examples I will add it to the HISTORY, And we all know about the girls buckets pink & purple.
About this creation

well, the only lego part i see from this must be the logo and the occasional stud, i consider this to be barbie, as there is nothing much building or designing here, as a lego fan, i d say this is a flaw, and there is no polyvalence with other kits either, they have nice baseplates.
