Star Trek - Klingon Negh'Var class
"Smurfff", a Negh'Var battleship, the largest Kilingon's warship
About this creation
My last Klingon battleship is the Negh'Var, the flagship of the Klingon fleet.
The model is roughly 60 cm long (or 24 inches) and is made of 2300 pieces.

I have included a light brick to simulate the effect of the main distruptor cannon - the light from it is NOT due to image editing!

In the above picture you can see the switch (right red circle) and the lighguide (left red cicle) that brings the light to the front distruptor cannon.

This shot was taken in very dim light but with a long exposition (60 seconds) such that the light from the cannon would be highlighted. Only the background is edited.

The whole project took me 4-5 months but the main design was done via LDD and took two weeks.

For the stand, I took full hands from the official set of Star War's Imperial Shuttle (wonderful set by the way!)

In the style of Star Wars UCS, I also made my own label. Data from http://en.memory-alpha.org

I don't know why I added this grayscale pic....my girlfriend loved it and forced me to put it!

Finally, thanks to Robert Ward whose Negh'Var inspired me to start this project!

Quoting Marty Fields Like the use of light bricks with this one! Again, trans-red bricks would look good for the impulse engines.
Thanks Marty! I tried the trans-red, but in the end I just enjoyed more the normal one. Thanks again!

Thank you Chris!!
Quoting Chris Gay Beautiful and absolutely impressive piece. The Negh'Var Class is one of my favorite Klingon designs from TNG and STO. A truly impressive warbird with built-in working lights and green hull coloring. If it were me, I would have gone with blue parts, as I don't have that many green parts to spare with. This baby would be great to go with my Enterprise-J. =3 Keep up the good work. =3

Wow bro this is great. Epic detailing to the overall presentation!!! Nice Work. Really like how you were able to make the stand with all the information on the board. Also great use of the SNOT Tech's on the Negh'Var. Keep it up Bro.

Quoting f-22 raptor this just proves lego should do a star trek line. bricks can capture the ships so well in the right hands!
Well, That's what I thought some months ago...but then I found out that making sets by yourself is even better than just buying them! Anyway thank you very much for your comment!

Quoting Yuri Fassio Fantastico!
Ciao

Quoting Kevin J. Walter Wonderful ship! Best real built one, I saw so far! Though, the BoP is my prefered Klingon vessel :-P
Hey Kevin thanks, and yes the BoP will always be the quintessential Klingon vessel...and your version is a masterpiece!

Quoting Robert Edwards A superb model, best i have seen of this ship. Don't suppose you have instructions for this? would love to make it.
Thanks Rob. I have an LDD model or 80% of the ship, however some parts are different from the final MOC. Also, bear in mind that it cost me around 250 euros (or 350$) to get all the parts from bricklink. :( If still interested give me your email!
