USS Enterprise NCC-1701D

My version of the Enterprise-D model that was created by Primus but modified by myself. The Saucer section comes directly from Primus's Nebula class Ship but the rest (including the stand) is copied from a the only 2 photo's I had of his model then a few modifications from myself.

About this creation

The next shot just shows how I attached the naceles to the Secondary hull. Some of the pieces used in this model were not what I had hoped to use, in particular the 4x4 tile with studs on edges used on the nacelles. The pieces I would like to use just simply do not exist in Light bluish grey :(

Maybe next time I build it I will have a rethink.

I do love the way Primus made his Star Trek models and have created many of them from the instructions he left on Brickshelf. I did email him a while back asking for instructions to his model for the Enterprise D but up til then he had not created any, hence why I attempted this copy. I am very pleased with the outcome and only hope I have done the marvellous ship justice.

wow! This is so nice, I hate when such good creations are posted but get low views while a bunch of crap ends up as MOTD, this is really good man!! I'm impressed beyond belief

Nicely done. Even though you use others ideas in building. You will always find another way of presenting your model. There are also ideas you have that can improve someones else's creation. I personally find it more inspiring if my builds are copied and improved on as the next design may have solved the problems I had when building. Keep up the great work.
