Outside the theatre, somewhere…..

An unruly bunch of ne’er do-wells gather in a queue and bide the time while watching a rat…

Heath” Go on Shifu, you have some sick offence within your mind - eat it!”

Shifu “Let’s kill him boldly but not wrathfully. Let’s be sacrificers but not butchers. Let’s carve him as a dish fit for the gods!”

Dennis “I preferred it when he ate bacon”

Shifu “I can shake off at pleasure”

Yuri “Your voice shall be as strong as any”

Parrington “You know me all, a plain blunt man”

Hans “Did somebody mention a blunt?”

Bones “Poor Soul, his eyes are red”

Assistant director “Home you idle creatures, get you home! Is this a holiday?”

Heath ” Thou naughty knave!”

Xeno “Thou saucy fellow”

Tyler “What they said. We’re here for the auditions?”

AD “ I have an hour’s talk in store for you. Remember you called on me today. Those that would hear me speak, let ‘em stay here.”

Heath” A whole hour? What, Is the fellow mad?

Stu ” ha! Who calls? Bid every noise be still. I hear a tongue, shriller than all the music”

AD “Thanks very much. Auditions boss?”

Stu” Must I endure all this? Must I observe you? I’ll use you for my mirth…”

AD ”Shall I send the first one in then? Awake your senses that you may be the better judge ”

Stu “Set him before me, let me see his face”

Chris “Erm, the guy didn’t give me a script?”

Stu “ Read it. Read it instantly!”

Chris “ Read what?”

Stu “Ye gods it doth amaze me that a man of such feeble temper should so get the start of the majestic world.”

Chris “But I just want to be in show-biz!”

Stu “Away slight man!”

Leda “Why are you breathless? And why stare you? Why saw you anything more wonderful?”

Stu “Will you dine with me tomorrow?

Leda “Aye, if I be alive, and your mind hold and you dinner be worth the eating”

Stu “ That’s fair I guess”

Leda “Shall I be frightened when a madman stares?”

Stu “Aye do you fear it? Then must I think you would not have it so. Upon my knees I charm you”

Leda “What?”

Shifu “ I have bared my bosom…I did present myself”

Stu “I do desire no more!”

Stu “ Cry havURRRKK!! And let slip the dogs…”

Shifu “Is there no voice more worthy than my own?”

Stu ”Leave me with haste”

Hans “And for mine own part I durst not laugh for fear of opening my lips and receiving the bad air”

Stu “I doubt not your wisdom”

Hans “Shall we now contaminate our fingers with base bribes?”

Stu “Best chance you’ve got I think. He is a dreamer, let us leave him”

Heath “I have a man’s mind but a woman’s might”

Stu “What man is that?

Heath “Then my noble friend, chew on this”

Stu “What rubbish and what offal!”

Dennis “Upon what meat doth this our Caesar feed that he has grown so great?”

Stu “Hey, it’s all the sitting, I put on a few pounds, OK? What a blunt fellow he is grown to be!”

Stu “Seldom he smiles. Stay not to answer me but get thee gone”

Dennis “I will consider what you have to say”

Yuri” Into what dangers would you lead me?”

Stu “ I have not slept.”

Yuri “Arrrgh!”

Bones “You are dull”

Stu “ a lean and hungry look – he thinks too much. Such men are dangerous”

Stu “This is a slight, unmeritable man. Will someone just come out and deliver me something?”

Xeno “Extra large double pepperoni?”

Parrington “Give me your hands all over, one by one”

Stu “ But for mine own part it was Greek to me”

Tyler “He doth bestride the narrow world like a colossus and we petty men walk under his huge legs”

Stu “ A wretched creature and must bend his body”

Death” Let me have about me men that are fat”

Stu “Methinks there is much reason in his sayings

AD “Be patient ‘til the last”

Stu “Lend me your ears. Friend am I with you all and love you all. Thank you for your pains and courtesy. Just one last test. Has everybody got a prop from the box? Allright, buddy up and …..Stab!”

Stabbing, squelching, kicking, occasional grunt*

All “Et tu, Stute?”

Stu “Oh now you weep, and I feel you perceive the dint of pity. Seek-burn-fire-kill-slay. Must dash, I’ve got to go wreck ‘Phantom of the opera’” And lets away to part the glories of this happy day

Behind the scenes - the side wall, seating, and backdrops are all modular to move around and spread my bricks a bit further.

Notes/ 4th Wall

Ooh I was miffed when I saw the fun pop-culture quotes that other people had for this category. A-team, Airplane, Ghostbusters, Dirty Harry. I got Shakespeare. Yes I’m an Englishman, but did I want Et tu Brute? Not likely.

I had to take a step back before the wheels started turning. I do like parody, and I’ve been lucky enough to see both the Royal Shakespeare Company perform in Stratford-Upon-Avon, and the Reduced Shakespeare company too so I figured I could come up with something. I was a bit serious last round so a bit of humour was in order. If ever you get chance to see the Reduced Shakespeare Company, take it, they are hilarious. Hamlet as a rap, honest.

The deep of night is crept upon our talk and nature must obey necessity. Thanks for looking.

Oh. My. God. Funniest thing I've read, seen, watched, or imagined in months. Stu, you're wasted on engineering, my friend. Theatre, poems, youtube videos--just make something. We need more of this!

Hey Stuart, this is a great MOC with tons of great techniques and a even better story. Like I said earlier this was going to be a toe to toe battle to the finish. Going against you really pushed me to go above and beyond my normal building skills. Hope to see you next year. -Noah

Hmmmmm shouldn't it be "Et Tu, Glory Forever?" Well played Mr. Delahay, but your fine English writing "skills" are lost on those who spell such words with a z (skillz). Wait....are you sticking a drill in your head while I'm reciting my lines. The nerve of you Englishmen!

Stu, you know that I'm a huge fan of your works and that I consider you as a friend (I also always love to rumage in your older posts here on the pages), but as a fair and impartial judge I gave my vote to your opponent. This was a hard decision, cause both entries are brilliant.

If indeed the evil that men do is remembered forever and the good oft interred with their bones, then this model is about to be forgotten, my friend. Arise, fair sun, and burn mine eyes from my skull! (psuedo Shakespeare)

What a wondrous entry. The stage is fantastic, as are the quotes that all apply to their respective character. It reminds of the time I played Odysseus in a school play. Good times.

Wow! haha Very funny but I must admit, I took more notice of the fabulous set than of the actual tale! As both a performer and a technician myself, that is a BRILLIANT stage! I love the design for the lights and all of the little details are perfect! Great job on that! --Blast--

Nice builds and fun little stories, but the consistence can be a bit more problematic in your entry. It kind of reminds me of a school play a student in my school plagia... Wrote, wich nobody liked. Except that your MOC is funny.
