First prototype of an idea for an Imperial Electronic Warfare Ship. Got the idea from looking at a pictures of the E6 Prowler (a cool looking plane in itself) The role of the Prowler is to both passively monitor enemy communications and also jam/distort their comm network. Why not design a version for the Star Wars universe? I had a look in Wookieepedia to see if their was anything already existing but couldn't find a dedicated Electronic warfare ship. (If there already is a EWS let me know. There's now shortage of other Imperial craft in their navy tho..."Dungeon ship" anyone?)
2 things I try to bear in mind when doing Imperial ships: Blocky angles and grey, LOTS of grey. Oh, and I wanted to get away from all the TIE fighter variations too. But really it's just an excuse to indulge my liking for tower/vertical spaceships.
I envisage this ship being escorted by a couple of TIEs, maybe in an orbital pattern, as the Null-ship does it's sweeps.
I do have some misgivings: It is still a bit too curvy I think. Also having one pilot take care of both flying and all the electronic workload is silly, but I don't have enough grey bricks yet to do a 2 or 3 seater version.
Well, Null is definitely the right word for this unimaginitive piece of trash (for those not paying attention, this is a joke and Shannon is well aware of my posting these types of reviews. You'll notice he gets 5's on all of them.) Later ~ Chris.
Don't know here you get such original ideas... Very cool ! I love in particular the little 2x2 round parts under the cockpit, it looks very good
on this design !
great job, and good idea too. i know about some star wars dungeon ship, it is all black and very boxy, maybe you could make it. although i wish i remembered more about it...
That's pretty nifty. The shape is unusual for a spaceship. I think it might look cooler if you put a bunch of antennae and radar dishes all over it, and maybe one of those Imperial symbol pieces (visit this website to see what I'm talking about: www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=4150ps5). Plus, it would be great if you did a 2 or 3 seater version with a more detailed cockpit.
