I now see what a self-MOC is: not necessarily something other people want to see, but something you want to build. And I really wanted to build a ninja.
About this creation
Flash is a toa. Trained as a ninja. A ninja-toa (or a toa-ninja, if you prefer.)
Element: Energy
Weapons: Own two fists, energy gauntlets
Fighting style: Silent, graceful, effective
Flash is a rare toa of energy. While this may seem a bit overpowered, it only lets him control his own energy. He was originally from Ta-koro (hence his red colouration) but left to study the ways of ninjutsu. He was a prodigy in his art, and triumphed over his fellow students to become the one to receive their master's toa stone. After transforming into a toa, he left to travel the land, aiming to increase his skill. His weapon, the energy gauntlets, allow him to amplify and expel his energy either as light or as a projectile.
I managed to get away from my usual black and silver colour scheme to a... black and red one. Black and red are the coolest colours, so I wanted Flash to have that as a palette.
The legs look the way they do because I wanted to make them look like a ninja's pants: thin at the top, poofy toward the bottom and thin at the ankle.
His right leg was blown off during a prototype testing of his energy gauntlets.
His hands are also covered to prevent damage due to exposure of large amounts of energy.

While he could use his powers the same way without the energy gauntlets, it consumes quite a bit of strength and would tire him out too quickly.
I think he looks way cooler with them on.
His heartlight is actually also trans-lime-green, my camera and lighting are just so bad that it looks yellow.

the light up hands area great idea, I must try that some time! and in my opinion a self-moc isn't a moc that you want to build instead of mocs people want to see, its more what you want to represent your self, whether it be because it was your first moc, or if it was something you made to suit you, I mean, shouldn't all your mocs be ones you want to build? |

Sticking to your Ninja-theme, you've created something VERY nicely poseable, limiting none of the ankle or shoulder joints with unnecessary armor or bulk. Great job! And I say, MOC as you wish! Why do this, if not for fun? =) Cheers! |
