Here she is, the beast from the East! Introducing, MedLink's new Rescue 1! The pride of the fleet, she's a monstrous 37 studs long, the biggest Rescue in the fleet.
About this creation

MedLink Rescue 1 is a brand-new 2011 Kenworth T800 with a heavy rescue body built by SVI Trucks. It also features a patient transport compartment (PTC) built in a collaboration between SVI and AEV. Rescue 1 features two frontal compartments, two rear compartments, and roof toolboxes. Also mounted on the roof is a 10-Ton crane boom built by National Crane. It is used for technical rescues and patient extrication from hard-to-reach areas. On the left side of the truck there is an awning which is rolled out while on-scene. The cab of Rescue 1 is equipped as an Incident Command Center while on-scene of major incidents.
Rescue 1 is compliant with current MedLink standards and NFPA 1901 standards. On the rear, yellow and blue chevrons are present. On the doors, chevrons are also present. This Rescue is expected to last many years in the MedLink fleet. R-1 is staffed by a team of 4 MedLink Rescue Medics, 1 officer, and 2 EMTs (in the PTC).
**NOTES**
Well, Rescue 1 is back and better than ever! I was bored one night, and Rescue 1 looked like it needed some attention. So I tore it down and built this beast! There was obviously no better choice than a Kenworth, so I started with that and everything else jsut flowed! Before I finished the compartments on the roof, it looked pretty weird and obnoxiously long. Now that it's done, I love it! This one's a keeper.

Love the chevroned doors, nice touch, i've considered sticking 1x1 trans plates on the back to as a warning but this is a much better idea. |

This is indeed a big old beast. This looks great and a lot of fun too. I particularly like the awning/canopy that rolls out from the side. Great Job! |

Great truck, such a monster! And that ASAP...great. Only suggestion I have is put handles on the compartment doors to make them more noticable. Oh, and something I think you will love, Google "Kenworth 953"
The oilfield truck? Yeah, don't you worry about that ;)
And the compartment doors are a huge pain, I'm just waiting on some yellow tiles so I can do the doors. Maybe some grille bricks as well. |

Thank's alot James. You stole TWO ideas I had for two upcoming rescue trucks. I'll have you know I will not be telling you that I secretly love this rig.
Okay, the MatTracks were one... kinda. But I can only guess the second. I can't wait to see it! |
