Awesome,except locomotive is somehow to "European" instead of "American".You can rebuild locomotive to be typical 4-4-0 American :)

I know. But don't tell anyone. ;-) It's actually made over this one - http://www.dragon-gscale.co.uk/lgb-23741-db-steam-locomotive-99-241-2401-p.asp I guess DB didn't drive all the way to the USA. I liked it and wanted to build it, so I said, well, why not, it's LEGO. It should work in LEGO world. :D

There's not many people that can make a cleanly built Western MOC nowadays, but you are definitely one of them! Great job on this, and all your other Western creations!

Yes. That's how they built it. The train followed the workers with construction materials, food and water supply etc. It was the cheapest and most convenient method to do it. Why bring heavy rails using coaches when there's rail to use?
