It's that time of the year again! When we had early snow here in Slovenija, I decided to make a landscape. It's funny really, how things turn out, this year is like a repeat of the last, except I know more and build better. And the more I try to change things, the more they turn so everything stays the same. Life DOES have an excellent sense for irony.
About this creation
V1
The first version was inspired by the following song, so I thought I'd link it to you (except if you prefer K.I.N.G. by Satyricon, wich was, combined with snow, the inspiration for this MOC).

So...
Wisdom is not one whole, born with or learned. It is a structure of steps, starting with initiation and ending with enlightenment.
Some people are born intelligent and some retarded, but in the end, even the second kind can preceede the first.
What does matter in blood is how you will react when the first step comes.
For this is the mother-step, the only one that is only once made - steps are reached and lost again,
so only those that can hold on to the light can truly reach it's gift.
You can never explain what the first step is, the closes that you can say is "a wish to find something", while others are both questions and answers you find on your own hand.
There are dierections in wich you can seek, but the destination is always the same.
There is the selfish way, in wich you find the answers for yourself, but selfish here does not mean grabbing it all for yourself, it merely gives a chance for those that want to find it themselves.
And there is the giving way, where you share your knowledge with others, lost souls amongst them, but possibly making it harder for all others seeking.
There are more ways, but these are the ones I have tried and understand.
Although the mentioned ways above have their flaws, they can be combined by revealing answers to lesser questions, those not found in your travels, using your enlightenment,
While answering the truly importaint questions for yourself.
Meditation is a glympse of the next stage, but it only lasts for that short while.
But using meditation, you can find out what is different, isolate the answer and find the question to it, locking the step you have glimpsed.
Nice work, Deus! I like the way you ran out of blue tiles, but you in your creativity used green for pond scum. Its been a while since you or I have flexed our brain muscles in a debate. I kinda miss that. In any case, great work!

Just admit we can all have our own different way to reach(or not) enlightment. For the moment, I'll just believe in Deus' talents and skills! :-P
Very nice MOC... Just a bit fed up to hear some believers who just always consider their own point of view, that enlightment isn't possible without religion... And what do I hear? stupidities, like: "the atheist is unable to be a genuine good man, unable of good deeds?"
They should not forget how many "good deeds" the "HOLLY" Church has made all along the mankind's history... Believers, just keep your verses and your Jesus for yourself... Just admit we can all have our own different way to reach(or not) enlightment. For the moment, I'll just believe in Deus' talents and skills! :-P
@Ian, Max: Amen, Brothers! The only true happines one can achieve in this life is being redeemed by the blood of my savior. Thanks be to God!

The landscaping is great, however perhaps you could find a substitution to the technic pieces which give the tree the angle.
Everything about this MoC is beautiful! The Rocks, the plants, the water and the animals and in combination withe those texts. It feels great, but it's hard to describe.
I full-heartily agree with Max. I'm a Christian too and I know from experience that the only place to find true peace and harmony is in Christ. And it may sound silly (I sometimes think it does), but I tried to keep on living without HIM and as a result I was in constant fear and depression. Anyway, as I've said before, your building techniques here are great! Well done on the Lego trees!
As a Christian, I do not believe that we as humans are capable of doing any genuinely good act (Isaiah 64:6), and I disagree with the majority of the other attempts at a life of satisfaction and morality. I think YadDap hit the nail on the head, although coming from your worldview, it does work logically. However, I know that Jesus is the only way to joy, satisfaction, and what you call "enlightenment" in this life (I won't even go into eternal life). ANYWAY (after that long discourse), 6/5 for the fantastic building techniques in this build. I love the details, your TREES especially, and your "pond scum" technique looks exactly like what you meant it to be (to me anyway). Great work!

Oh nice!! You were right, I do see the similarities to my moc http://mocpages.com/moc.php/292906 I really like your grey tree!!! If you don't mind I'm gonna borrow that idea, with credit of course :-) great build! ~cheers

Very nice!I like the amount of detail and landscaping you have put in!
I don't like however the fact that your Sigfig cant cross the river, you could have put in a bridge.
Actually, I was going for more of an allegorical and natural look.

A very detailed and pretty landscape. I like the technique for the grey tree limbs. Very nice. The only thing that bugged me were the lilly pads. Although a nice touch to the build, having them set in with the rest of the tiles makes it look less realistic. The one sitting on top of the tiles looks good though. Just constructive criticism. Overall this is a very nice build.
Well, they're not lilly pads and they were the only way I could finish the water. I used up ALL of my medium and normal blue tiles.

@ George. Oh okay thanks :P I agree, I wouldn't use the "R' word, as you say. My sister is 5, and she has a disability, she can't talk, walk, or anything most 5 year olds can do. She is very small. She basically has the mind, and size of a very young toddler. And I hate it when people call people retarded.

Awesome landscape! The variety of building techniques on the trees and brush is just immense. And the cats are brilliant! I wouldn't have looked so closely and noticed all the wonderful details unless I was lookin for those cats... I still don't see them. =/

Well, your logic is totally incorrect. Only through Jesus can you find true enlightenment, and if you don't have him, you will forever be a wandering sheep. He's there for you Deus. He loves you, even if you don't accept it.
Anyway, the creation is one of the best landscapes I have seen. You are very talented in this area of building.

@ Adam: I think they're either pond weed or lilypads :)
Cool landscaping! Although I'd prefer if you wrote "with learning difficulties" and not the "r" word...

There isn't anything to criticize other than the odd looking lime tiles in the river...What are those for? Everything else is awesome. I want all those light blue tiles... D:
I have absolutelz no idea how it's called in english.

Very nice landscaping! A lovely array of plant life, those trees were brilliant. But that was a weird Within Temptation song, I've never heard them do anything like that before.
The album is hard to find, but I agree, it's really weird for them. You have to admit it's good, yes?
