About this creation

Like the title says, this is my version of Malcolm Reynold's pistol from Firely and Serenity. I spent most of last night and this morning working on it. I looked up some pics and found that between the series and the movie, the pistol went through some modifications. Mostly, the magazine in front of the trigger guard is different. There are some other minor changes too. I couldn't replicate the other clip, so I went with this one. The pistol measures about 13" long, which I believe is very close to the real thing. It's made of about 280 pieces. I went with this color scheme for the photos. The last two pics are of other colors I was working with. Lemme know which combination you like best. I'm very pleased with how this model came out. I still have work to do on it, maybe a removable clip.

Very nice replica. My favourite parts are iron sights and eight-side barrel. Oh and that brown one looks like steampunk weapon. I don�t know why but in this case golden version don�t look so good (according to me). Well in my opinion only few weapons look good in gold. Good job.

Thanks Joost! I do plan on building this puppy. Money has been very tight recently though. Thanks to LDD, when these designs pop in my head, I can see them come to life and save them to be built for real later on.
