About this creation

This truck is built on a Freightliner chassis with a rescue style box with plenty of compartment space. Originally built on a different chassis, this truck used to be utilized as a heavy rescue, as time went on the box was moved onto it's current chassis and changed from a heavy rescue to a special duty apparatus.

This truck is labeled as an "Air / HAZMAT / Command" vehicle and carries a wide array of equipment for a variety of functions. Most often used is it's on board air cascade system capable of refilling SCBA bottles on a fire or HAZMAT scene. This truck also carries many spare tanks as well as complete SCBA packs for HAZMAT operations.

This truck carries much of the county HAZMAT gear including suits, containment gear, weather tracking software, wind tracking monitor, research books, a laptop programmed with plume development prediction and EMS procedure software, on board generator and light tower, multi-gas meters and gas detection tubes. This truck is also equipped with radiation dosimeters.

As HAZMAT can often occur in a confined space, this truck is currently being outfitted with confined space rescue equipment as well.

Lastly, this vehicle can function as a mobile command truck with radios, computers, lights, maps, heating, air conditioning and a work area in the back. There is a single green rotating beacon that can be turned on with the rest of the emergency lights, or on it's own to distinguish this truck as a command unit.

(A green light indicates a command center/ vehicle/ location)

Truck design is credited to Westbottom Brick Apparatus.

This is modeled after a unit in my real Fire Dept that has multiple special functions. It used to be a heavy rescue but now it has been retrofitted to serve as a HAZMAT / Radiation / Decon unit with the county hazmat gear, weather tower radiation docimeters and reasearch material. It also carries an array of confined space gear as well as hazmat is often involved in confined space. It is also an air unit which has a cascade system to refill bottles and as a command unit with maps, laptops, a bunch of mobile and portable radios and a green strobe light to designate it as the command post. We also have a light tower and generator built in to this beast. It doesn't really go out much though, just trainings and probably less than 10 calls a year.
Quoting Lego Riverside FD. Nice work man, havent seen anything like this. What does the unit specialise in?
