Lego Optimus Prime in 1:16 scale, with PF functionality
About this creation
Countless people have asked me to build Optimus Prime from the Transformers movies. As it is a Peterbilt, my favorite truck brand, i decided to give it a go after watching the third episode of the movies.
The moc consists of two engines. A medium PF engine is used for the steering system, and a large one for driving both of the rear axles. The battery box is in the sleeper, and can be switched on behind the door.
The build itself is not that much different from my usual trucks. The big difference is are thre many blue lights, even more chrome, and the paintjob.
The flames are stickers, a buddy of mine has printed on a professional digital printing system. I made them in Coreldraw! and used the blue and red from the Lego color palette. They are not an exact match, but they do the job.
The above photo shows a mild update i have done meanwhile. The stacks are slightly lowered, the rear fenders are updated, and the split window is added.
Thnx all for the comments! Basically this truck is as close as i good get to the Prime of the movies. In the original series it was a cabover truck, but not in the movies. The actual truck is darker blue, but i am glad that most of you like it. The only thing I learned is that the smokestacks should be actually a bit lower.Another feature i will add in a later stage is the split window, i must admit i forgot that :-)
This is the best truck you've ever made IMO! The chrome always looks great. Excellent work

Dude, this is the most EPIC!!! MOC that I have ever seen!it is almost Identical to the real thing except the smoke stacks are too tall, but not by much. Other than that it is an exact replica. EPIC!!! just EPIC!!!

so good looking and sexy, I love it, especially all the chrome on it! :)
Whoa!! I'm not a vehicles man myself but this is jaw-dropping!! That chrome really is the icing on the cake in this build, all the details and such just wow! This is one model I would be proud to leave on display. Fantastic work! :-O ~Thoy
Sad it doesn't transform but the fact it's so well detailed and with such a sleek deisgn. It seems not even LEGO at certain parts but more of one of those very detailed pricy models. If I read this correctly and you got a good amount of it from the 3rd movie, any chance you will build him a trailer?
Dang - that is seriously good looking. Like Mortal below, I don't normally like non-LEGO stickers, but here they look excellent. Shame it doesn't transform but could never be anything but a 10/10 - a stunning truck yet again from the master!
