The ancient city of Jericho... City of palm tres...
About this creation
A MOC i began working on in about March 2011. I didn't complete until about late June 2011. The building of this MOC was alot of fun! I had to experiment with new ideas and architectural designs to match the ancient buildings era. I remember not ordering enough of the orange/tan pieces at one point I had to wait almost 2 weeks for my shipment of additional pieces. The MOC probably includes about 10,000 pieces or more. With the exception of the cloth for the minifigs, only lego pieces were used.
If you are familiar with the old testament then you will definately relate with this MOC. The city features most of the activities that were going on around that time, and are still going on for the most part such as: crime, prostitution, stealing, murder etc... It was pronounced for destruction for its crimes. The last couple pictures show the Hebrew's march around the city along with the ark of the covenant and the priests.
Wow! This is so rad! You did a superb job on Jericho! You color choice is very smart and it really flows together! The figs look great and your Ark is just phenomenal! Fantastic job! Hope to see more Bible stories come to Lego :)
Amazing job here, well done! I love the studlessness and the use of that tan/orange color, it looks great. Also the uneven bricks on the walls are sweet. The architecture in this really matches the time period. Great job!
Very impressive! The build is very nice, but the unique color scheme really pops. I think that the clothes that you made for the minifigs look very natural as well. Of course the moral aspect of the story(or implied by the story) is also refreshing!
This is awesome! I do a lot of the "studless" building styles too. I love how you did the walls! This definitely deserves Across MOCpages or MOC of the day. Your Ark of the Covenant design is the best I've ever seen on the pages. Extremely well done sir!
