MIT Round 3: Medieval Guy vs. James McKinnon-Bring Out Your Dead
If you've never seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail, you haven't lived.
About this creation
I've been a fan of Monty Python for about a year, so I was eccstatic to hear that my catagory for Round Three of the 2011 MIT against James McKinnon was 'And now, for something completely different',which is a famous quote from Monty Python. Being a fan of Castle, I naturally chose to build something from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, which is set in England, 932 AD.

"Bring out your dead!" *ding* "Bring out your dead!"

*ding* "Bring out your dead!"

*ding*

"Bring out your dead!"

(Citizen)"Here's one."

(Collector)"Nine pence."

(Dead guy)"I'm not dead!"

(Collector)"What?"

(Citizen)"Oh, nothing. Here's your nine pence."

(Dead guy)"I'm NOT dead!"

(Collector)"He says he's not dead."

(Citizen)"Yes he is."

(Dead guy) "No I'm not!"

(Collector)"No he isn't!"

(Citizen)"Well, he will be soon, he's very ill."

(Dead guy)"I'm getting better!"

Citizen)"No you're not, you'll be stone dead in a moment."

(Collector)"I can't take him like that, it's against regulation."

(Citizen to the collector)"Look, isn't there something you can do? Do us a favor."

*whack* "OOF!"

(Citizen)"Thank You very much."

(Collector)"Not at all. See you Thursday."

(Citizen)"Who's that then?"

(Collector)"I dunno. Must be a King."

(Citizen)"Why?"

(Collector) "He hasn't got sh*t all over him."

Obviously, this isn't the whole scene, and not even close to the entire sketch. Be sure to check out the real video!

Now, these are just some bonus pictures.

King Arthur, my first attempt at custom making a tunic.

Arthur's servant, Patsy.

These stairs would've been tiled, had my BL order arrived in time. Oh well.

Good luck to Mr. McKinnon, and the rest of the participants!

Quoting Tyler Halliwell Although the scene is great, the building has really nice texture! I would love to see a full castle made like that.
I bought 350 of those 1x2 log bricks with the intention of doing just that! It looks so much more realistic.

Quoting LWC guy Nice job! A great build, but you've used that ground technique a lot now, why not try something new? I think grey/bley round tiles, mixed with 1x1 rounds, 1x2 tiles and 2x2 tiles might work, or you could experiment to find something that works better. Like Ru said, your photography is improving, well done!
As soon as I scrounge up the money for Bricklink, I was planning on trying something new anyway. I wasn't sure what yet, so thanks for the dripping idea!

I got ahold of another camera. MWAHAHAHAHA! AT LAST! (It's my Mom's. Usually I've got no clue where it is so I use my Dad's(unfortunately I don't have a camera of my own(hopefully that will change come Christmas.)))
