8845 Dune Buggy V1.1 (4-wide)

Version 1.1 of my 4-wide version of the 8845 Technic Dune Buggy from 1981. The main modification are bigger wheels
About this creation
This is an update for my 4-wide 8845 Dune Buggy. First of all I chose some bigger wheels. The rims are still the same, I just used the bigger truck tires from the 1980s.

I also moved the front axle 1/2 stud to the rear to get closer to the original model.

The rear suspension didn't work with the bigger tires, so I changed it. I like it even more with the T pieces.

Family meeting: The little brother and the original model. I didn't have all the parts to build the big one any more. Especially the angular connectors had taken some damage along the years.

So I was glad to find a 8845 set in Nick's BrickLink store. It was a lot of fun to build this classic Technic model.

So this is my new version of the 4-wide 8845 Dune Buggy. I hope you like it.

Absolutely brilliant. A great little brother to the original set. I remember that set but unfortunately I never owned it.
