This is my first attempt of using LDD 4. I found it was very useful and practice to use, yet not much fun as building with ABS. But when you're constrained by budget limitations, this is a good way to build whatever you like using virtually any piece you want... For my first try at LDD 4, I decided to build an AEGAKS, specially my favorite one: MARTE. This is the way I truly intended it to be.

Proposed Back Story: During the turn of the tide in the Second Robot War, General Seino led an offensive into the Drone occupied Urban Sector of the Sentai Province. During this offensive, later dubbed the Adalos Campaign, Sieno took half the SPA's forces, nearly all equipped with the newly mass produced Trisan units (yet to be released). The Sentai Provincial Council commissioned the Marte L.02 AEGAKS to act as a homefront defensive unit. These were made in small numbers and strategically positioned throughout the Agricultural Sector for maximum protection against Drone raiders. ^Blub^ |

You don't have a Internet connection at home?! Hmmmm....it's same as me before. Btw, please keep showing us your great creation when available even made by LDD.
Yeah, it sucks... But don't worry, I will keep posting whenever I can! |

Hey Man, so apparently my review didn't post... I didn't notice such an occurrence until now, so I'll rewrite your review. I really like the new Heavy Weapons look for the Marte, and I feel that the design allows you to create a variety of weapons packs for the Marte, if you wanted of course. Think that everything looks great, the only issues I had with the MOC were the coloring of two areas, the bottom portion of the legs are overwhelmingly red, though having the feet be mainly red is a great idea, I just feel that adding a small amount of contrast to help break up the coloring. The only other area that I felt could use some more contrast are the back cannons, I feel that adding some color to break up the grey would add to the appeal to the weapons and make them look more like a set with the arm weapons. Other than that, I see no major issue with the MOC itself. The reason why I wanted to do a live session was I wanted to show you some tricks with LDD, due to this being your first attempt with LDD, if you want, I can show you a few tricks to make your LDD snapshots higher quality, though I doubt your LDD MOCs will be your main concern. Overall, very impressive first attempt, usually making something this complex in LDD can be a pain for those who are new to the software. The only issues I have with the MOC are some areas that could use some added contrast. Great work on this, let me know if you want to create more MOCs using LDD and I can help you out with anything.
Thanks for the review! Indeed, the feet are too red and the cannon is colorless... I'll consider changing it soon. |

Hey Man, Since You Didn't Respond To My Comment, I'm Assuming That You Don't Want To Do The Live Session. Actually that works out better for me, seeing that I am limited on time this week, so when I get the chance I will post my review on this. Oh, while I am here, I finally got around to posting a MOC, figured you would like to see that.
The problem is that I don't have an Internet connection at home. So, I'd apreciate your written review, if you don't mind. |

I like the features it has, the weapons and such, but personally, I liked the 1st Marte. It had agility, as well as massive armaments...this thing..looks more like a sitting target for the drones to pick off with ease. Anyways, pretty good build. Hope to see more from you soon! |

So, I'm getting ready to begin a work on the Adalos Campaign (Project AEGAKS) where General Seino leads a campaign to retake the Urban sector from the Drones. AS you don't have a backstory for it, might I suggest one? I've got a couple of builds nearing completion, one of which I think you will be interested in, to go along with the brief narrative.
Of course my friend. Would you like to send it me by e-mail? |

Hmmm, I'm Rather Surprised I Wasn't Asked To Look Over This. But please, do not feel obligated to ask upon reading this, I was simply shocked that you didn't ask me to look over your first LDD MOC. I'll save any remarks, unless you explicitly state that you do not want this MOC to be reviewed. |

In fact, I really want a review if you don't mind. I just thought you'd not want to bother with this. But go ahead! I will add it to the group.

So you start to use LDD instead of real brick? Anyway, the twin cannon on the back is my favorite. It's like some kind of weapon from armored core. Keep up such great build!
I've not abandoned the ABS, my real passion. But I decided to give LDD a try and found it very interesting. But like I said before, this is only because of bugdet limitations... ASAP I get the bricks to build it I'll assemble and post here. |

an excellent AEGAKS unit! the plume on the head? crazy brilliant. I'd have never thought of that, and I love it. not many issues that I see with this. the things on the back of the feet look a bit... odd, but I assume they're for steadying the unit while it's firing its cannons. the other thing is that I think it might look better with arms, perhaps with some form of melee weapon. otherwise, it's great. by the way, THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!! I've been looking for that little connector piece for the joints for months. :P
Yes, the things in the feet are to give it some balance due to the fact that the cannons are a bit heavy when built and may force the whole mech to drop back. They are foldable, by the way. About the arms, you can use virtually any kind of arms or weapons, including melee kind. But being a long distance defensive unit, I think that melee isn't a good choice... Thanks for the feedback! PS: I struggled for days before finding the joint... It's among the other pins in the Universe theme. |

That... is... unrivaled. Fantastic work, my friend! This one looks to be a full defensive unit, and I would not want to be an assauting drone. I love the weapons most of all, the cannons on the back are gorgeous, and the 'arms' look very vaguely like the Mathril's cannons. Gorgeous final version(?). ^Blub^
Thanks man! Yes, this may be the final version of the frame. The weapons can still be changed, but I think they're fine like this. The Gladius really look like Mathril's cannons but wasn't inspired in any particular mech. The Paretoria was inspired by two mechs: The Fawkes and YMS-16M Xamel from Thomas Z ( http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/293648). About being a defensive unit, it's supposed to stand in the sectors gates and fire from distance. I really expect to get soon the pieces needed to build this one. |
