Evolution of LTFD Station 8 - Modifications

Station 8 is located on Fairfield Road in the 3rd battalion. Station 8 is based on San Mateo Station 26 in San Mateo, CA. Only modifications and renovations have been done to this firehouse. I have included pictures of the construction, which shows the layout of the rooms in the firehouse.
About this creation
Yes, the firehouse started out with a white foundation. Obviously that changed.

In order to look more like San Mateo Sta 26, I found out that there was an additional room to the left of the bays. That was added. In addition, aerial views of the firehouse indicated a different shape to the rear. I have since changed it to try to reflect the actual firehouse.

Quoting Justin Fisk Bob, I must say you have to be one of my favorite builders who build custom fire stations.
Thank you, Justin! I enjoy building them for the LTFD. I can remember back when I was your age, I had a town all set up. I had one of every firehouse Lego built from 1982 to 1991. I also had all the FD apparatus from that time as well. That said, I didn't have bricklink or a Lego store. So, the only way to get spare parts was to buy duplicate sets or order through the Mail Order system at Lego. Sadly, there wasn't much of a selection back then through Lego. So, I couldn't build firehouses for the trucks that did not have a firehouse. I had "imaginary fire stations." When I got back into the Lego scene and started building fire apparatus, I decided to make sure each truck had a roof over its head. I'm happy to say that I accomplished that. : )

Quoting Keith Griffin This is my favorite LTFD station.
Many people like this firehouse. Probably due to the home-like look. I know the guys from Engine 8 and Ladder 4 love it there! No one wants to transfer out. Thus it is very, very hard to bid for those companies. : )

Quoting Will McDine Bob this has always been my favorite station of yours
Thank you, Will! It is a nice firehouse. The way I envision it, This firehouse is in a residential area and was designed to look like the homes that were going to be built in the area. In other words, just blend in with the neighborhood. Fortunately, the neighbors don't mind the fire horn that is perched on the roof. And if they did, too bad. The firehouse was built before the homes were built. : )
